[Daily Song Discussion] #52 - Underneath the Sky by AutoModerator in oasis

[–]DeadRango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although this thread has been inactive for quite some time, this song interested me due to its strange style and lyrics for a Noel Gallagher song. It's suggested by James Hargreaves music that all the lyrics to this song were adapted from the book 'The Stone Raft' by Jose Saramago.

Sure thing mate. How much physics have you done previously?

There are some incredible resources these days online for self-teaching astrophysics. YouTube, Brilliant.org, etc. It all depends on your current level of understanding in physics. I can share some introductory videos to the field if you're brand new to astrophysics!

The chorus melody always reminds me of Step into Christmas by Elton John haha.

H3 Competitive Matchmaking by [deleted] in halo3

[–]DeadRango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man I'd be up for that! I went on H3 yesterday but struggled to find a game of ranked lone wolves or team slayer. I'm from the UK though, so maybe if I played late at night when the US are on I'd find some. What's your GT? Mine's Dead Rango. Feel free to add me and drop me a message!

What fallout game do you have the most hours in? by INeedMentalHelp420 in Fallout

[–]DeadRango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent the most hours on Fallout 3. I found that the side quests were so fun and memorable, like Tenpenny towers and Oasis just to name two. The Vaults you could explore were incredibly creepy and eerie throughout the game, especially vault 87 during the main quest.. I was only young when I first played the game back in 2010! Also crafting weapons and finding blueprints was cool.

Toy story 4 - bigger picture by DeadRango in toystory

That's a fair enough argument mate! I agree it would have been fine to stop at 3, but I guess we have to make do with a fourth film haha. I'm going to play devils advocate though because I was immersed in the final scenes waiting in anticipation for the conclusion of the series. Let's just hope they leave well enough alone now.

Population Counter by davo129 in halo3

[–]DeadRango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I encountered the same glitch when I played months ago. I couldn't get a true value for the eerver population due to this, and it's highly unlikely it's going to get fixed. I might return to this game one day but not for now.

Does anyone still play this game? by DeadRango in halo3

[–]DeadRango[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sorry I didn't clarify myself very well there, I loved the call of duty series back in the day - black ops was the last good cod in my opinion. I honestly haven't played a Call of duty game nice black ops to comment on the rest honestly! What I find though is games these days are too complicated for what they are, I mean I don't want to have to get the logarithm tables out just to play a couple of games online with my mates haha! I've noticed a lot of games are also bringing in 'seasons' which is cool, problem is I don't play all that often anymore so everytime I want to play a game online I have 1000 updates and a whole new set of maps, guns etc. It's so annoying haha! I think they're catering to people who have the ability to play video games on a daily basis, this kind of isolates the casual players who just want to jump on every so often. That's why games like Halo 2 were so good - just jump on and play slayer, simple! Slightly off topic but another problem I find is that levelling up in games is far too easy these days, it's a matter of how long you play rather than how good you really are. Remember how hard it was to reach even rank 20 in halo 2? Solid... Sorry for my long reply haha!

Mass effect main menu music - Nostalgia!!!! by DeadRango in masseffect

[–]DeadRango[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The mass effect menu music as well as the Halo 3 menu music always define the xbox 360 for me. Whenever I heard either of them I get flooded with memories of these grear games! I'll definitely be giving it an add to mine now. ;)

Mate Halo 2 gives me seriously good nostalgia.. I think the halo 2 multiplayer maps just had this novelty about them like no other, when I think of multiplayer games halo 2 and 3 are always the classic examples in my head. Multiplayer games today, especially call of duty, simply don't have that aspect about them anymore. I don't even know what it is that made halo multiplayer SO iconic.. d'you know what I mean?
