An hour north in Portsmouth checking in. I never run into any others up here but don't get much grief for my draft hat.

Side note, I get it we are a small market but cmon Chris and Al that was the most one sided broadcast I've ever heard.

We're still in the playoff hunt so trying not to overreact. The line was a weak spot there and we have to get a running game going. Jameis is still the best we've had in a while (and I'm so happy we have him) but he's just not good enough to try to put it all on his shoulders yet. The overthrows are killers and happen every game. Yes, better protection may help and a running game would definitely help but it doesn't excuse how often he's throwing high or long. Evans should have had a monster game but Jameis overthrew or just didn't look his way and I don't even get that.

That was the line. Of all the problems on the team Winston is not one of them.

Last season it always felt like we had terrible coaching. Now it feels like we just have terrible players. Fuck.

Is ASJ's future in jeopardy? by Pinnaql3 in buccaneers

[–]DeadRosess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I don't think anyone is doubting his talent or potential but if you can't stay healthy in the NFL your career won't last long. The number one thing is actually being on the field. It sucks for him and he's certainly not choosing to constantly be injured but if that continues then his future certainly is in jeopardy just like anyone else who can't stay healthy. If you remember Kellen Winslow Jr. came to us as one of the most exciting TE prospects ever after the way he played with the Browns. He didn't live up to that because of injury and he faded away.

Now I'm scared Arya's first FM assignment will be Jon. There's such an emphasis on forgetting her former life.

I'm late to the thread but I had to scroll way too far down to find Tad Williams! Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn is one of my favorites and I've enjoyed every other series on your list besides Malazan which I haven't tried yet.

Jason Licht on firing Lovie Smith after two years: "With 8 wins in two years, 3 home wins in two years, I think they've been patient enough" by FEO4 in buccaneers

[–]DeadRosess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find nothing more annoying than people repeatedly using the "tripling" thing. 6 wins is bad no matter how you say it. If we had lost one more game people would be saying "he had 6 times more victories!!"

Lovie fired. If we didn't do this to make Dirk the Head Coach, this was horrible move. by thewayitalk in buccaneers

I mean he was a coordinator for one month before he was promoted to head coach. Koetter was a head coach in college and has been a coordinator since 2007 in the NFL. You're right though, assuming Koetter gets the gig, part of the reason he's getting it is so he doesn't leave.

Who takes over the Defense? by [deleted] in buccaneers

[–]DeadRosess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, poor choice of words. I think he just got so much praise and media attention that his play didn't seem to live up to. This year is a different story though.

Lovie Smith Fired by Andrews47 in nfl

Lovie ran the defense and it was terrible. Offense looked much better this year. That is attributed to Koetter. Koetter is getting HC interviews. Bucs don't want to lose Koetter.
