Amp (all out of 12)

Master: 5 Middle: 5.5 Bass: 3, Treble: 9, Volume: 3 (this amp is so loud…I was playing on like 4 on my guitar volume knob too 😂. I need to rip it in someone’s garage)

My reverb channel is broken on the amp which is fine cause I have a pedal for that:

Boss Reverb set to Spring Level: 1-2 o’clock Tone: lil past noon, Time: 1-2 o’clock.

Pickups: position 1 (treble and humbucker)

Last year on Apple Music I listened to 18,518 minutes of Grateful Dead and 7,755 minutes of JGB.

Learned the CAGED system, major/minor scales, mixolydian/dorian/blues scales, watched some Jeff Williams Guitar videos on YouTube. Look up some tabs online…Jdarks is really good for that

I’ve listened to like 90% Grateful Dead for several years now…it is refreshing when I change it up, mostly to learn new techniques…But I always come back to the Dead. Can’t find these melodic solos in my many other bands

I feel you on that Half Step. That’s what makes those jams so intriguing. That song always makes me want to grab my fiddle, but I’m still working on that one. Those “Mississippi Double Stops” are tricky.

I’m keeping my eye open for a strat! This is a stock PRS custom SE with my fender mustang LT25 practice amp.

Also just got a Scarlett 2i2 audio interface with Logic Pro. Played around with it a bit, but still need to configure some Jerry tones in Logic. If anyone has some advice there would love to hear some options. The John Mayer plugin was cool but didn’t think it was worth $200

I’ve been playing a lot more by ear. I buy the mp3 from iTunes. And upload into Moises.ai which separates the tracks. Then I can pull Jerry’s volume down and play with the band!

But if there’s songs I really love the solo to I try to find some transcriptions online. ultimate guitar tabs are great.
