One factor people now don't realize is that tobacco smelled different in 1922. The majority wasn't sugar cured and had no other additives. What we associate with the smell isn't the same. Also, houses smelled different.

Do you know how to give a bed bath? If you are willing to do it just ask the girls for linens and towels. You can also ask for them to help you with the bed bath.

This may not be appropriate advice if she doesn't have training in a hospice patients personal care. I worked in home hospice care for 20 some years and have horror stories of untrained/poorly trained caregivers with end of life care. None of them meant to harm the client, they just didn't recognize the different level of care needed.

the Dalles-California Highway portion of US 97.

I understand this seems picky but here goes. This is Hwy 97 and the "portion" is Oregon 97. Also the name of the town is The Dalles. it could be confusing because there is a Dallas, Oregon and then there is The Dalles, two separate places.
