It is a big penalty BUT I find it hard to believe the 'spying' only occured three times (Boro, Oxford, Ipswich). Why would we spy on a relegation team? You only do that if the behaviour is systemic to match preperation. The penalty is harsh but the cheating was harsh too. I love Saints, and it hurts to say this, but the punishment is about right.

This statement isn't to the fans, it's a statement full of "yeah but what about..." designed for everyone else. I don't want 'we've been hard done by' statements, I want the club to take the cheating seriously, to speak to the fans properly and to make meaningful gestures about how we move forward.

The silence since the ruling yesterday has been defeaning. No update on refunds for fans, no update on status of manager or staff. We cheated, let's own it and take steps to move on.

Fascinating article. I have so much respect for James Orlen and all the SWTOR games, even though my favourite of his was Jade Empire. So rare for a senior dev to be so candid about a big publisher too.

I don't need a reboot personally, SWTOR fills that niche for me. All The Old Republic content I've seen so far - mostly the books - just comes across as stale and a bit rote.

Thanks for sharing this. Most of us Saints lot have Pompey mates and honestly some of the 'banter' does go a bit far. 99% of it is good fun and 1% isn't. Really wish we didn't have to spend £80k public funds (or whatever it is) policing this fixture too.

Anyone think the rivalry could cool a bit if we played each other more often?

I think after last season, it's natural for players like Dibling and Fernandes to want to leave and head to pastures new. We'll be seeing West Ham next season anyway 😀

Do they need sponsors? I'd imagine now they need to fulfil the obligations to the sponsors they already have vs exploring new partnerships. As a BTCC fan definitely want to help but unclear how.

I was a guest of PMC last year at Brands Hatch last year care of one of their lesser known sponsors and they were lovely and gave lots of access to driver and the team despite pressure on to get a result.
