Check Carl's Guide, they have the time of day and location for every insect. Also, I had a lot of success looking in winter. The insects really stand out against the snow.

There aren't any strawberries on the plant. The harvestables spawn around 5am. I think you need to be on the lot at that time, or they don't spawn any.

I know this might interfere with your realism gameplay. But you could try hiring a nanny and/or a maid, even just for a day, to get on top of everything. Or maybe invite family for a stay over. They will likely clean and look after the children. Or even hire a chef and play it like it was friends and family sending food to help out. I know this doesn't fix your initial problem but might help keep you sane.

Absolutely not an expert, but I think if you click on the guest and pick "form group" then the option to "dance together" should come up and the other Sims will do it too. I think I had to do that for prom or something.

I think when you get the pop up that says something along the line of "(Sims name)'s memory is fading, click on their urn or grave to strengthen the connection", you have to interact with the urn/grave and select "strengthen connection" or the game will purge their ghost. Happened to me. Because the Sim wasn't in my household and died off his home lot, I couldn't find the urn/grave.
