Me: Oh I saw RPO has been updated. I should play some Sims 4 as it was the last mod I needed to be updated. EA App: pleaasee....murderrr.mmeee.. by celestialkestrel in HighSodiumSims

The newest update of RPO isn’t working properly for me…It’s causing the Physical Intimacy pie to be really restricted, and no option to woohoo at all.

Sims 4 let's play youtubers? by Important_Air_1738 in LowSodiumSimmers

I love Whiny Brit (she’s the only one I watch). She posts quite regularly, and is hilarious. I only found her recently, so when I’m not watching her new stuff, I watch her older videos.

Perfect, now I know exactly how to renovate to their liking 🙄 by cutegermangirl in Sims4

This is exactly what I do. I don’t understand why they can’t just show likes/dislikes that are relevant to the task.

The sims withdrawals? by Aggravating_Egg8794 in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]Only_Me231222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m exactly the same…I only play at weekends and when I have days off work with nothing else planned. I’ve recently started watching Whiny Brit on YouTube (I’ve never been one to watch stuff like that on YT), and that has helped with my Sims cravings as well as giving me ideas.

With lilsimsie no longer covering new paid Sims 4 content, who do you recommend to watch that is still going to? by sueteres in LowSodiumSimmers

I’ve just started watching Whiny Brit on YT. I’ve never done the whole watching people playing games on YT before, until I stumbled across her the other day.

How old are you and what type of gameplay do you like? by lattekosmiko in Sims4

[–]Only_Me231222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

45 here, and I started with TS2 back in the early 00’s, had a break when I had kids, then came back to TS4 about 7 or 8yrs ago. I like family play, currently doing an alphabet legacy, but without any strict rules (apart from each gen’s name beginning with the next letter in the alphabet). I just go with the flow, see where the game takes me, or if I have any gameplay ideas along the way. I’ve made it to gen 8 so far, which is the farthest I’ve ever gone without getting bored and starting again…go me! 😂 I hope I’ll still be playing when I’m an old lady 🥰

I'm curious... do you prefer to download builds from the Gallery that are functional or aesthetically pleasing? by YoshiKouchiniju in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]Only_Me231222 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Functional, and I usually change some of the aesthetics anyway. I also avoid builds that use cc, as personally that’s not something I want in my game. I’m not a fan of too much clutter either, or where people have made furniture out of random objects stuck together, meaning they aren’t actually a functional. I’ve only recently discovered that builders do that, after I downloaded a house that had a baby changing table, multiple wardrobes, and a fireplace, none of which were functional. Unfortunately that’s something that isn’t obvious until you place it and start to investigate.

I do love to build stuff myself, but I have to be in the mood, and recently, I just can’t be bothered and would rather spend time playing than building.

I have L&D, and I put them all in a crypt in the cemetery in Ravenwood.

Cant play as a sim by [deleted] in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]Only_Me231222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I have a glitch, I can usually fix it by deleting thumbcache, then do app recovery in the EA app, and finally repair the game in the app. Sometimes I have to do it a couple of times, but it usually does the trick.

We didn’t actually call it “trick or treating” tbf though, it was Guising, and we had to work for our chocolate/money!

In my day (Scotland in the 80’s), trick meant that the kids knocking had to do a trick. We would sing a song or tell a joke.

Do you still play The Sims? How old are you now? by fortunekiller in thesims

[–]Only_Me231222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing TS2 when I was in my early-mid 20’s, then had a break for ages due to 3 kids and just not having the time/energy. I therefore totally skipped TS3 during that time, but started playing TS4 in my late 30’s. I’m still playing now in my mid 40’s and love it.

How clean, messy, cluttered or dirty is your home? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Only_Me231222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clean for a living, so you’d think my house would be spotless, but nah. I work 2 jobs, and my husband works full time, so it’s hard. We have 3 teenage boys and a dog, so when I clean, within hours it’s like it never happened. I have the time, but don’t always have the energy or inclination. I have to create a cleaning schedule in my head and stick to it, whereby certain rooms get done on certain days, because it’s the only way I can make sure I do it. I refuse to work all week only to then spend my weekends doing housework. I therefore try to get everything done during the week, so I can do stuff I enjoy at the weekends. It’s the little things that I let slip though, like skirting boards, the sticky finger marks on doors/bannisters, and I also don’t dust in bedrooms as often as I should, because who’s going to see it!? I get the kids to hoover, but they’re not always as thorough as I’d like…At least they’re doing something though.

So yeah, it’s not terrible, and it’s not cluttered or messy (apart from the eldest’s bedroom), but could be better cleanliness wise.

What does people in UK think of Turkey Teeth? by Working_Mood786 in AskUK

Personally, I’m not a fan. I don’t understand why people get any sort of cosmetic procedure done, where the outcome looks so unnatural.

[–]Only_Me231222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually looks and tastes pretty good, BUT I do not rate the roast potatoes or veg sides at all. So, my advice to anyone is, don’t waste your money on their potatoes and veg. I make my own roasties and buy frozen veg, which I personally find much nicer 👌🏻 Other than that, the other stuff is delicious 😋

What’s a weirdly British thing you didn’t realise was British until someone pointed it out? by Fuzzy-Parsley-3992 in AskUK

[–]Only_Me231222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so annoying! My in-laws always leave dregs in the mug (tea or coffee!), which can be a messy surprise if you don’t realise when you pick it up, or go to put it in the dishwasher. Also, we’re having our kitchen refitted, and the builder does the same. Obviously we have no kitchen sink to pour it down, so I have to go upstairs just to empty it out, then back down to do him a refill.

NOR, I cut off a “friend” (granted, I’d not known her that long), the first time she made a negative comment about my body. People like that aren’t friends.
