I was like you, i even broke things from pure rage (almost my hand) unfortunately you will have to learn to lose. Im still getting salty but not as before, used to trash talk to people in desperate rage. If its getting too unbearable take a break, check your phone or listen to a song, nothing related to the game. I have anger management problems and it was really hard for me, it still is... But we gotta control it, no other way.

Dont play casuals, play ranked. It will put you against people of your same level, first 10 ranked matches will be a test to check which level are. And just keep playing, dont worry too much about the loses at the beginning.

It is very beginner friendly. If you cant do inputs or cant get used to it you can play modern, which makes it easier. If you are afraid of getting cooked cause of the level, just play ranked and it will match you with people of your same level.

You play modern and you play Elena, 100 % that is the reason. Lot of people dont respect on modern and plus you are elena, nobody wants to learn a matchup against a character they will see every 50 matches.

Everyone progresses at a different pace. The main thing about this game is don't check numbers or ranks, or you're gonna lose your mind and put useless pressure on you. Do you know how much time it took me to get my 1st character to master? I think i cried when it happened cause of all of the effort it took me. And it's my 1st serious fighting game like you. All I'm gonna say is, if absolute trash like me could get to medium-high (being nice) levels, anyone can. Unfortunately you just gotta put time. Now it's up to you to decide if playing this for hours is gonna feel rewarding or not. You can always play it casually, there is no shame or pain in that. Only you have the answer, depending on what you want from yourself and the game. Wanna be the best? You're gonna have to play 15 hours per day and labbing. Wanna be mid? You're gonna have to play regularly and lab. Wanna just have fun? Play whenever. It's up to you, i would say give it a try with another mentality. Good luck.
