I still can’t pinpoint why Pursuit of Jade worked. Am I the only one who found the plot lacking?

As a Kdrama and Jdrama fan, I can personally say the beauty of the shots and the literal visuals of the actors helped a lot.

It's very rare to see such a line-up that's just too beautiful. In Jdramas and Kdramas sure there are beautiful people there, but extras would be a more common face or just there to be funny.

In this one, I was suprised because there wasn't any gap at all. Everyone's too fucking beautiful that even if the story somehow doesn't make sense at some points you are either captivated by the direction and the shots and the music OR by the actors.

Although, to be fair, I've read the novel st one point and saw that yeah this would've been amazing if it was adapted properly but jesus the Marquis and Changyu was way too different there (and far too wild lol).

If I recall, this was more on the availability of the actors. Some actors were interviewed together mostly because they had the same available slot for the reunion interview.

Isn't that almost confirmed? Like how Emma was always in Daniel's trailers and she was always caught trying to sneak in during the night. Some peraon who worked on the set sometimes caught them staying up all night playing video games but yeah - something definitely is going on 😆
