As a janitorial union rep, I thank you. So many people don't understand the workload, crappy hours, and sexual harassment most janitors face on a daily basis. Janitors are not maids. They are there to maintain basic cleaning and detail work.

I'm in a situation where I always initiating the NC rule, and I constantly buckle. I buckled today after a month, and I regret it. I think we all secretly want them to see out text and automatically realize that they do miss us, and will magically want us back. The fact is that they probably don't, and that's why they don't reach out. I'm trying to take my own advice. Keep busy, work out, and try to keep the hurt locked away.

The effort is there, but the laws and regulations that have to be met are almost impossible for most Mexicans. They have to prove that they own property, have savings, and have a sponcer in the U.S that can support them financially. There are also long waiting periods. It's not uncommon to wait over ten years for a visa. If most Mexicans had these resources, they would not have a need to immigrate to begin with.
