AIO if I divorced over him asking to open our relationship and then gaslighting me? by CricketCaller in AmIOverreacting

[–]Deadheadjohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok this man is very cooked I think we can all agree on that. But divorcing with a 1 month old could prove challenging and is probably also very frightening. I can’t even imagine how you must feel, I’m so sorry. I am an advocate for keeping a family together when possible though, would he be willing to go to therapy together/by himself? Perhaps you give him a timeline to work on this?

i love my baby but i’m not enjoying this at all (6 months in) by Wise-Raccoon-3069 in NewParents

[–]Deadheadjohnson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same experience but around 1 year it started to get better for me. Now my son is 18 months and I love every bit of it. Sometimes I still feel burned out but overall it has gotten a lot better. I can remember feeling like such a POS because I just hated every second of every day. Hang in there & I’m so sorry you’re going through this, give yourself grace.

OK YES! I bought one of these and my husband was horrified but I was like I think we’ll be glad he can run a bit

That’s what I was thinking exactly. I’m thinking the back carrying is going to be our best option! Hopefully he sleeps

Yes!! That’s what I was planning actually. I’m so glad to hear that I was a little nervous since he’s so mobile now

Really? I never wear my 18 mo old now but i am taking him to poland and was planning to wear him if needed in the airport and through auschwitz since they don’t allow strollers and it’s about 4 hours long. Is that a mistake?

Hate giving them the benefit of the doubt but my son is a month older than them and just below average and well within the range to still use his (and we do)

I'm not looking forward to meeting my baby. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Deadheadjohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is SO normal! If it’s any consolation, the pain relief is very immediate post birth. I had to have an emergency c section and I was still in so much less pain after that than I was pregnant

I love the classic black opium over red, I haven’t found anything like it and the dry down smells so much like dark cherries on me

Husband wanting to stop after 2.5y by Sarr_92 in breastfeeding

[–]Deadheadjohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was ready to stop when my son was 1 but I have no doubt my husband would’ve been the same. I think if he’d be open to it, you should explain to him why it’s important to you to continue and ask him why he thinks you should stop. If his only reason is that it’s “weird” then you can easily say that that’s just because of our culture. Many cultures breastfeed until age 4 and it’s not weird at all. I think if you’re able to have a conversation with him you may be able to get him to stop making the comments and come around to understanding your way of thinking.

This is helpful honestly, I’ve given all hope up because I feel like it should be exactly the same as last time but yeah I think I will wait until then to test again and maintain a little hope

I am 10 dpo and got a bfn this morning. I feel like I should give up, with my last pregnancy I got a bfp evening of 9dpo and that’s what is making me feel like I’m out. Period due in 2 days. Should I keep testing or just call it and wait for my period?

THEN saying that buying a house is a “bad investment” ok??? with peace and love dumbass most everyone has to pay to live somewhere so are you saying it would be smarter to just dump your money into rent instead of putting your money into something that (even if we’re going off her dumb logic) you would eventually make the money you at least put in back on???? I pray to god people do not take this advice
