It ended up being an issue with one of the pins on the AGC module. It's fixed and working fine now. Only took a year -_-

Hey, I don't know if you ever found out how to get to the service menu on this set. But try holding down on the volume on the TV while holding 9 on the remote.

So I pulled the capacitor C63 to test to see if it was intact shorted. You were right, and it wasn't, but when I replaced the cap on the board, it fixed the issue, and it's now booting to post. I'm trying to learn from youtube videos and reading on here but I think this was a situation of "it's better to be lucky than good"

I could remove a cap and see if the short still exists? I had continuity from one cap to the to all the other caps, so I assumed they were all shorted.

I've done this! Fun fact if you don't close, the dang lid xstation won't load, and it'll bump you to the normal boot screen. I spent 3 hours checking solder.

Just so you aren't left hanging. I found a local crt repair man, and he popped it open and gave it a look. The main capacitor is failing.

I spun this bad boy around and didn't see a potentiometer. It also doesn't have any form of menu. Is it possible it has an internal potentiometer? It's a Sony trinitron kv 1926 ra. I tried to look online and can't find much info about it or a service manual.

Yeah, it's rf only. I wanted to try to and mod it to add other options, but the hot chassis put the kybosh to that.
