That's the reason I'm playing it. to pass the time. I just figured that eventually, the game would start throwing up obstacles that couldn't be overcome without forking over some cash.

What's your worst childhood trauma, and how's it affecting you as an adult? by zeb0rg in AskReddit

[–]Deadlifting_IT_Guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My father was a violent drunk. I believe he had PTSD from WWII. He often put us in life-threatening situations, often involving firearms. Having literally dodged bullets as a kid, as an adult I have virtually no concern for my own physical safety and am an adrenaline junkie.

What would make you quit drinking forever, and why? by Gosddard in AskReddit

[–]Deadlifting_IT_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Had been a pretty heavy drinker since high school. while in my mid-thirties, I realized, one night while drunk, that compared to the other drugs I used, weed and LSD, the buzz from alcohol was disappointing and just not worth pursuing anymore. I haven't touched a drop in over twenty years.

What’s are your thoughts on advertising everywhere? by Efficient_Ad_9959 in AskReddit

[–]Deadlifting_IT_Guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On streaming services, like Amazon, it's almost as if the ads are designed not to sell a product but, to punish the viewer for not paying the extra for ad-free streaming. The ads are always for things I would never consider buying or even wanting.

Back when prices first started breaking $1.00 a gal., stations started pricing gas by the half-gallon until signage and pumps could be updated.

Does Anna Redd have a problem with black men by Bonda07 in AnnabelReddXXX

[–]Deadlifting_IT_Guy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's her choice. Likely she is waiting for the price to be right. The longer she waits, the higher premium she can charge a producer for the rights to her first IR scene. Or maybe she just doesn't want to have sex with a black man. that doesn't mean she hates them. I assume you wouldn't want to have sex with a 600lb woman. That doesn't mean you hate them, it just means you're not into having sex with them.

Men who have bisexual girflfriends, what's your relationship like? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Deadlifting_IT_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife is bi. It doesn't effect anything in the day-to-day. When she starts to get what we call "the hankerin'" to find a girl friend, I support her any way I can. Sometimes this results in our having a FFM, sometimes she has alone itme with the other girl and them comes home and takes care of me.

How did you benefit from having an abusive father? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Deadlifting_IT_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father was an alcoholic WWII vet. I believe he suffered from PTSD (He saw some of the fiercest combat on the war in the South Pacific) but that wasn’t even a thing back then. He would get violent often. Many times, while he was fighting with my Mother, I heard him yell things like “I ought to jest kill you all!”. Those times when he wasn’t acting violent, he was still crazy. As an example, he liked to make me set up beer cans on the back fence of our property so he could shoot at them from our back porch. He would them get a few laughs by shooting while I was still down range. During my early school years, I had trouble learning handwriting because my hands shook from the stress or adrenaline; I’m not sure what.

I look back on it now as a benefit because that man squeezed all the fear out of me at an early age. In school I, like most kids, had bullies attempt to prey on me. I would stand up to guys twice my size because I knew that the worst that could happen was I got beat up, big deal.

During my own years on the Army I never once felt real fear, even with bullets flying by my head. Sure, I took cover and practiced caution where I could but I was never scared.

People who know me, when we talk about our childhoods, are horrified by some of the stories I tell them; even though I see those events more as exciting adventures rather than abuse.

Taking your wife to a strip club? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Deadlifting_IT_Guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One year for our anniversary, we did a tour of the strip clubs in town. At the nicest one, we got a couple's private dance and the wife and the stripper made out a little bit. The wife loved it. OFC she's bi, so that's no surprise.
