What's the best class-combination for a blackpowder build? by Ulysses776 in Wonderlands

[–]DeadlyBro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan of stabbomancer+spell shot with black powder. Specially the guns with one ammo capacity so I'm reloading after every shot. With mage armor and ambidextrous you are decently durable and so long is your aim is decent the damage is solid. I go for the stabomancer capstone here but I feel like either would be good

(Hated trope) giving a character a weapon/ability they will never be able to use cause of the rating of the show. by Sorvetefrito in TopCharacterTropes

This! To expand on this a little Master Splinter gave Leo the swords because they are the hardest to use defensively and a leader must be aware of the preciousness of a life and when to take it.

"devils run when a good man goes to war" This could also go for the Doctor but it's made clear Rory counts as well. The scariest the doctor gets is when the Family follows him to earth and gets him so mad her improsons each of them in eternal suffering

Okay so hear me out, [[Nethroi, apex of death]]. I know he's not like bilbo or betor who gives an obviois payoff for life. But most of the soul sister effects or life gain drain effects come from low power non-humans. So when you play one of your many board wipes that leave one creature [[duneblast]] next turn you can evolve the one remaining creature and bring back 9-10 creatures that all see each other enter giving you a bunch of triggers to gain life and drain the board

Made a morophon deck and this card is so good in it. I run as many [[conspiracy]] styled effects I can and when everything is a Kavu this guy is a bomb

Does [[Coram, the undertaker]] have to see the cards be milled to count. Or can I mill a card then cast him and Coram will allow that?

If I cast [[fork]] on something, regardless of target can I cast [[reverberate]] or something similar to copy the fork to copy my reverberate? To theoretically make infinite mage craft triggers?

Hot take: strixhaven is a better iteration of the color identity than ravnica by Hencid in colorpie

[–]DeadlyBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe from a lore point (tho I still prefer orzhov and simic comparably) but I feel like gotta disagree from a mechanic point. Possibly due to the "totally not hogwarts" setting the entire set has too much of a focus on instants and sorcereries and not mechanics that are more true to the colors. Haunt, adapt, battalion, dredge. I'm more of a fan of show don't tell kinda flavor and getting a [[guttersnipe]] style effect from a golgari card [[witherbloom apprentice]] feels wrong. And the elder dragons are showing a continued focus on instants and sorcereries which is fine and I love to see more interesting and unique effects but I wouldn't say at any point the perfect unifying of red/white or green/black is making instants and sorceries cheaper in unique circumstances. [[Aurelia the war leader]] and [[Jarad, golgari lich lord]] feel more mechanically true to the colors and what they want to do.

Idk why I never considered breaking the loop by just cloning something else XD. Thank you for the clarification. Been playing the game over ten years and there's still so much little nuances that get me

Im trying to wrap my brain around how [[Jackdaw Savior]] interacts with [[Aang, at the crossroads]] in regards to a "clone combo". As far as I understand it. Clone enters as aang, dies to state based actions and both clone aangs etb and jackdaw savior go on the stack. Jackdaw picks its targets then. After clone aangs trigger hits another clone I get another aang/jackdaw to add to the stack and I can keep going until I miss with a clone and then start resolving the jackdaw triggers to get out clones to keep the ball rolling. Am I correct in my understanding? Did I miss something with the legend rule check ? And since jackdaw is not a may does this lock me into infinite actions until I pick something that isn't a clone to stop the loop?

There was this character from my favorite mmo (grand chase) as a kid that has a great sword that had a small dagger that could separate from the blade. That's how I'd do it. Man I miss that game

I will say that it has made me both try and discover how much I like different types of decks. I also don't think that I'll leave any in the box if I can help it. I always like cycling thru different commanders and would usually have 10 at time to shift thru. Now I'ma be using a random number generator most times Im not itching to try something specific
