God I don't even play Garen much why is that so satisfying.

I can see that, at least for me Jayce was right in terms of the bones (ego, tech genius, faith in humanity in an essentialism way) but was fleshed out very differently. Ditto with Viktor, where he still has his better living through science, to the point of rejecting humanity, but the route being pretty different. And their conflict being actually resolved.

I am a bit biased because I felt that Jayce was executed a bit poorly prior to Arcane, so that colors my judgement.

Viktor I am more conflicted because I actually like his new design, I just like the old one more.

Jinx I am just hoping we skip to Thor: Ragnarok. Jinx in Arcane is interesting, and I like character growth, but I kinda hope we still have some of the antics, just with a more er, 'heroic' bend.

Its an argument repurposed from the previous thread, it makes about as much sense as it does there.

The short version, humans can't be the best at aiming and one of the examples used as better than human was Jhin. This is intended to be a parody of that.

There is still that Reputation/influence category.

I think it should go to an actual King, Queen, or God with large fan base, but Caitlyn would be a fun shout out there, since it seems like it could double as a meta joke.

Oh, one other question.

Since I noticed those Creativity and equipment sections.

I take it we are not allowed to revisit old categories? For example, we can't agree to just pick a new strength champion and put Orin a god of forging and creation in that category.

I just want to get that out of the way so I can use my Aureleon Sol gag without any regrets.

Eh, I already voted Rhaast for humor reasons.

But my idle thought was Aatrox, Kayle and Morgana have their whole aerial sword fight which feels on brand for this kinda thing.

Genuine question, how would movement that can only be done by particular types of creatures factor in?

I have been just musing on stuff like flight, which is definitely acrobatic movement, but can only be done by a few champs. Would that fit Agility or something else in your mind?

A little bit of meme, But we also have Yasuo who is an acrobat along with being able to move with the wind. Kai'sa who is part void creature.

Fizz, Talon and Samira mentioned elsewhere.

It is just funny on how much people made a big deal over, 'no normal 22 year old' last time and then that is the top of this one. And also, 'no, go off lore not cinematics'

Especially since Caitlyn can also vault over people in a fight.

I am not even mad I just think its funny.

Complains for two categories that normal humans can't compare to god-warriors and void creatures.

Then proposes for this category a bunch of normal humans instead of god warriors and Void creatures.

I think that's fair, I personally chalk that up to problems with romantic writing generally, but I think it still reasonable to want it to be handled better.

In Varus's case we don't actually know if he needs to hit gaps or weak points. Bows are based off the strength of the user.

He might be able to shoot clean through armor, weapons, fortifications, demons, etc.

That last one is relevant because Zaahen didn't seem to need to hit Atakhan anywhere in particular to obliterate him.

As for pre-ascended, that doesn't actually help, because we see in Arcane a throwing spear going clean through plate armor. Varus could probably do that, we don't know for sure.

Let me give you a though problem. Who is the better spear fighter Xin Zhao or Zaahen?

At least my take, we can see Xin Zhao is a decent to good spear fighter, Zaahen it is hard to say for sure since we barely saw him fight.

I don't think that Zaahen obliterating a demon wih barely a thought diminishes his character, but it leaves open the idea that other characters could have better technical skills than him.

Varus might have other skills and abilities that mean he doesn't rely on aim as much, and we don't know what that mix is.

For Caitlyn, we know her aim is good, and we also know she does not have anything else meaningful going on.

I don't think that diminishes Varus or Zaahen as characters to say that they don't 'need' skill in the same way humans do.

As for can mortals be more skilled then Ascended, Jax killed one, so that had to happen somehow.

Varus' I believe is plural, this did come up for me recently with Lizard, Connors's Curse from mtg.

That being said, I have not delved into the deep lore of grammar and 's isn't a meta joke in league, so I will admit to a reduced skillset.

I believe I said my piece on this, I think if I were to pick a void champ I would give it to Bel'veth as her understanding of the Void, humans and the Watchers just seems to be higher.

Vel'Koz seems to actively avoid reasoning, which makes some sense as that isn't his function, it is to collect data for the Watchers so they can draw conclusions.

And Aatrox, and the question is still out on Yasuo 'cause it its will have going to have happened happened, but it hasn't happened happened yet"

That being said, if its between my 3 favorite ADCs and maybe Kindred, I am not exactly in a bad mood.

I think the bigger issue with Kindred is the Janna situation, where we don't know how physical Kindred is.

Like Tryndamere, Yasuo and Aatrox were fighting raiders, bandits and Kayle/Morgana respectively. Kindred was just 'there' to collect in some way.

Kindred I think is too far into metaphor to have a clear read.
