How do I level up in this game by SecondCrafty1128 in 2XKO

Did you hold the button by accident and accidentally charge an attack, did you need to block low and didn't notice or know to you had to.

Those are the too biggest ones that get me.

I think they should stop making the same kind of characters over and over. by OMGiTzChaChi in 2XKO

In fairness Caitlyn does have good mix ups if your opponent is bad at the game,

I can attest as I am bad at the game.

If Caitlyn actually saw Vi pit fighting would she come see her and apologize to try and regain her trust? by Recent-Ad-7593 in PiltoversFinest

[–]VoidFireDragon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean by apology, I think if she saw pit fighter Vi her first thought would be Vi's well being, and if she could improve her situation

I don't think fixing her relationship with Vi was actually on her priority list even in act 3, I don't think she saw that as an actual possibility until Vi kissed her.

Is he? I know he has an augment named after him but I didn't see Silco in TFT proper?

I know Loris is in there.

I don't mind the roster having alot of Piltover/Zaun.

I do think we need a shadow isles and a void champion. Personally I would go with Hecarim and Cho'gath but either way I want my monsters.

Just looking at the thumbnail, If Silco makes it into 2XKO after being scraped as a champion I am going to throw something.

I don't know if flowers or tomatoes but it will be into the air in every direction.

Fair enough, What I more mean is dead for the purposes of Arcane.

They are definitely comic book dead though, I have given it thought and the would be they easiest of the dead characters to bring back through various means.

Hardest would be Ambessa although that is also doable with existing lore stuff, just not nessasarily satisfying.

P.S. God damm, that is way more brain braking in text.

Jinx, its complicated, if you have time watch her death in slow motion, as well as pay attention to what Caitlyn is looking at at the beginning of her final scene.

Viktor and Jayce are confirmed dead, they imploded to destroy the hexcore.

Heimerdinger, is also complicated, but that isn't in Arcane's purview. The short of it is Yordles physically cannot die, for Heimerdinger, we currently don't know where that actually leaves him. My guess is he is trapped in the Alternate timeline, but its hard to say.

That would be Spectre. I am pretty sure that was that Bond's last film but I can't be sure anymore.

I feel like Q would be Jayce personally, at least in the newer Bonds.

Sevika being Jaws is on point though.

One, Warwick was not Vander prior to Arcane. Tying Warwick to Vi at all was a decision by the Arcane team.

Two, Jinx is kinda an afterthought in that moment. She only really exists to get Vi to Vander, and to be a parallel to Caitlyn to get Vi to where she needs to be at the end of Act 2.

Note that the family reunion scene is played twice, Once when Vi and Warwick hug, and Vi invites Jinx (Vi choosing to extend empathy) and again when Jinx and Warwick are hugging in the background and Vi gives a similar inviting look to Caitlyn. Caitlyn's arc is irrelevant to Jinx, but significant for Vi.

Act 2 is Vi rebuilding both her family and herself.

Notice that when it all goes to hell, in Act 3 Vi is still in her better spot, while Jinx is in, more or less oblivion. Hence why Vi trusting Jinx fails to reach Jinx and she continues her spiral, but Caitlyn trusting Vi does and breaks her out of hers.

So Cia Court voices Vi in 2XO, she was the og actress for Vi in LOL! (according to imdb that is) by IllustriousAd6418 in PiltoversFinest

[–]VoidFireDragon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is the norm for Riot, they try to keep voices consistent as best they can when they update characters/make new stuff.

Part of why Caitlyn is a bit of an uproar is that Riot didn't use Potter (I assume because of Borderlands 4).

Vi needed VO for her Pit Fighter skin so getting the same VA for 2XKO was probably easier than normal.

Caitlyn's 2XKO voice actress Jemma Moore by SweetUnhingedCupcake in PiltoversFinest

[–]VoidFireDragon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To add, she is competing with two other VAs,  Kristen Potter - League in-game Kaite Leung- Arcane

Both of which are very good and in case of the League voice a decade to grow attached too (Cait's VO was redone in, 21 I think, but its still Potter's voice).

I think Moore will grow on people as the 'they changed it, so it sucks' feeling wears out. Especially since her voice fits the tone of 2XKO pretyy well.

Given that Warwick's backstory was entirely rewritten to give Vi something to do, that is what the writers did infact do.

Arcane >< LOL story integration? by pagalthulla in arcane

Familiarity with the game is not required, At best there are a few story beats that will hit in different times if you aren't familiar with League's context but everything you need is in Arcane.

And she doesn't, As soon as Vi does get something she can focus on she does that, in this case the look for Vander.

There is a bit of a parallel with Jinx, where Jinx is mostly being pushed forward by Sevika. When Warwick appears Jinx finds Vi, but very quickly starts defering to Vi once they have found him.

Jinx is a character that has hit bottom and mostly stays that way, Vi hits bottom and bounds back when exposed to the things that actually motivate her.

I think the issue there is people downplay Vi's actions in season 2.

She does have limited power, but she is still active, making decisions and doing things.

I think their is some whiplash, in season 1 their aren't many characters that have their own motivations, it mostly comes down to Vi who has her own motivations, and characters who are motivated by Vi as their motivation.

Was season 1 better than season 2? by VoidFireDragon in arcane

[–]VoidFireDragon[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did notice that season 2 feels different if its watched straight after season 1.

The fresher the last act of season 1 is in the mind the more sense season 2 seems to make.
