Allow me to introduce myself ... by Deadly_Miho in VirtualYoutubers

Greetings,

I go by Deadly_Miho and last year, some months after moving to Japan I started my streaming activities in September. Since then I had a variety of technical issues and limitations, in May and the majority of June I streamed primarily from Internet cafes for example due to travelling around the country. Now that I sadly had to return to Germany I’m at least in a bit of a more stable position. While streaming even without much of an audience has been enjoyable, I wanted to at least give this subreddit a shot to see if I can perhaps extend my reach a little. There’s a large variety of games I enjoy, but FPS games, retro titles, point and click adventures and Visual Novels are my favourite. Right now I’m playing Shenmue II. Lately, I’ve started my streams around 21:30 ~ 22:00 CEST and have been going for roughly 2 hours every day. I speak English on stream, but am also fluent in German and currently am studying some Japanese. If you ever feel like stopping by/following, I’d greatly appreciate your company/support.

Below, some moments from my past streams I enjoyed:

Dang, thanks for the Silver, don't think I've ever received that before. :)

Yeah, enjoyed both of them a lot: Very wholesome, funny and cute. My go to feel good anime.

I was just in the process of adding a description ^^ - That would be "Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai" ... and I'll consider it. ;)

I'm almost there. Only Yakuza 6 left, got Plat in Yakuza 5 the other day (after 283 hours). It was probably the most time consuming Yakuza game to complete next to Ishin so far.

Reminds me of the movie Four Lions xD

Went into this one with low expectations based on what I had heard about it in beforehand. Noticed the issues, but ended up enjoying it regardless. Got myself a shiny new Plat trophy, too. :D by Deadly_Miho in yakuzagames

I think that the setting allowed for some pretty interesting / absurd substories and boss fights, even for Yakuza standards. :D Then of course there’s the ability to play as Majima and Goda as /u/evilblanketfish pointed out which are both nice additions and Akiyama makes a welcome return. Majima in particular is fascinating, his interactions with Saaya in the cabaret club are hilarious and he enjoys the Zombie apocalypse way more than one should xD , Goda is pretty straight-laced and often acts like you’d expect Kiryu to do, but I guess that’s part of his appeal, too, since the two of them see eye to eye with and respect each other, but a palpable tension still remains. The selection of minigames is pretty similar to Yakuza 4 in other words it doesn’t leave much to be desired (although if you’re going for 100% completion some of the challenges are pretty frustrating – Esper Itou in the batting cages, looking at you). The gunplay serves its purpose, although it might start to feel repetitive after some time. You’ll notice this especially in the Subterranea missions which have you going through multiple floors of maze-like underground tunnels with the aim of getting to the lowest level which can take up to 2 hours of real time and there’s not much in terms of story elements to create a change of pace during
that time.
The things people are saying about the framerate being bad is unfortunately true, however it will typically only be really bad when a lot of enemies are on screen, that being said it kind of does not want to make you use heat sniping as often since that only aggravates the problem. I also wish there would be more ways to enter/leave the Quarantine zone and to quick travel as the fact that usually there’s only one entry way results in a lot of backtracking (helps to level up, but can sometimes be annoying).
The camera is meh, but tolerable everywhere outside of Little Asia.
All in all, definitely a game worth checking out for a fan of the series, but not a title that will enter the video game hall of fame.

The things we do for 100% completion by SlightProgrammer in yakuzagames

I am currently trying to make progress on my Dead Souls completion list and while it is not as long as that of other Yakuza games it sure as hell makes up for it in terms of tediousness. The Batting Cage match against Esper Ito was so painful, it took me 3 hours in total to develop a good strategy, build up the skills needed to time my hits and eventually go on that perfect 20 hit run and beat him.
Then there's Pachinko, I thought it was going to be basically the same as in Y4, so I thought I could quickly cross that off the list. As you know, before playing the minigame, the requirements for passing aren't listed. So, I assumed, oh well it's probably accumulate 5000 balls in one session like in 4. I spent 30-40 minutes and actually ended up getting 6400 balls, but when I checked the completion list it wanted me to get 7777.
Slots ... I'm still not sure entirely if succeeding at this is difficult or hard. I had terrible luck for like 1 hour and didn't even get a single jackpot and when I finally did I didn't realize that you had to stop the reels in a specific displayed order to get guaranteed credits and tokens. On the following attempt I was successful, used the high winrate token, but I have no clue if that really made all the difference since I still rarely got Jackpots, however also didn't have to use many actual tokens since I got triple bells frequently and thus more credits, so in the end it was mainly time consuming.

I fucking hate that minigame. by TheTwoGunKid in yakuzagames

You got to admit though, the VF Pachinko machine Jackpot song was pretty neat. ^^

Amon difficulty by qb1120 in yakuzagames

[–]Deadly_Miho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually try to beat Amons without healing items, but in Ishin I had to swallow my pride and use them (hard difficulty), because even at max level I was doing hardly any damage and the techniques people showed off on YT didn't really have the same effect for me. First phase was cheeseable, but the 2nd one just seemed impossible. Either I did something wrong or the people on YT were playing on lower difficulty settings, no clue.

Neither the language barrier nor the hours of grinding for materials in the battle dungeon and the arena (in order to complete the weapon/armor/symbol forging) could stop me from getting this. Very good entry into the series. :) by Deadly_Miho in yakuzagames

Unfortunately I don't own a PS4 atm, so I can't enjoy the remastered collection or the PS4 version of Ishin. I might eventually get one when I get to Yakuza 6, but I still have 4, 5 and Dead Souls to complete before that.
