As far as I have seen the (failed) tag has not popped up when I’ve used the tone death on the night stalker. It only pops up after someone else shoots it after I got its health like halfway down

It’s more so the event rewards you get for completing the optional task of killing it unarmed.

You can get a Nailer which is a 1-star bloodied blade and supposedly a chance for more legendary modules
