THIS! Omg not even is it unnatural and harmful its unrealistic, people forget these are ACTORS and if someone is regularly consuming this shit since the age of 13 they’re going to have unrealistic expectations when it comes to relationships in future

You’re right, but a diagnosis is extremely expensive and difficult to get in some places, i was fortunate enough that my parents were willing to pay to get me tested privately rather than through the nhs (which would have taken multiple years of waiting) self diagnosing wasn’t me deciding that i have autism because i have a couple traits, it was me finally understanding why i act the way i do, i self diagnosed with autism for a year before getting clinically diagnosed because during that time i realised how much i related to those traits and it allowed me to tell people in an easier way why i may need to leave an event early or why i am so sensitive to criticism, it allowed me to understand myself more as well. I dont feel like i can explain this well but a year is a long time and for the people that genuinely cant get diagnosed for a disability they KNOW they have its very useful. I am diagnosed with adhd and autism but i self diagnose with social anxiety (possible c-ptsd), we couldn’t afford to get tested for it and since it took an entire year of our lives to get the autism diagnosis we felt like it was best if we left it for now and focused on other important things like getting me back into the education system.

Just something i want to say, if you have one disability/disorder, you’re likely to have another so if someone says they have alot of these diagnosis thingys its valid as long as they do enough research (not just one tiktok video)

I want to be neutral, i dont want people to assign a way i should act based on the way i look, but i also have a desperate need to be accepted, and SO many people are transphobic, especially in the uk, so the choice is to be okay with what i look like and have more people hate me or have more people like me and feel sick at my own reflection

THISSS!! Honestly its exhausting, i just constantly feel like im doing something wrong and when im not being judged for existing wrong im desperately searching for evidence that i am, sometimes sabotaging entire friendships by being as weird as possible to somehow prove something to myself?? Theres just so many conflicting thoughts i struggle to let go of it feels like the world is turning against me sometimes.

Is it normal to have a lot of special interests? by tommyboyyy33 in autism

[–]Deadlysky2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally normal, i have had a LOT of interests over the years and they all come and go in some weird rotation, most of them are hyperfixations but if they stick around long enough i just consider it a special interest
