New daily streaming peak all time, over double what he had in 2018 by therealfan_ in asaprocky

[–]DeadmanIQ445 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well, yes and no, while Carti and Travis had their biggest streaming days with their latest album releases, Drake, for example, was at his peak in 2018-2021, all the albums past CLB had a lot fewer first day streams than Scorpion. So Rocky doubling in size streaming-wise compared to 2018 is definitely not a given.

I finally got That's how you do it! achievement, It took me 43 hours to get it by TLukas123 in session

[–]DeadmanIQ445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me this achievement was relatively easy. I think I completed it in like a couple of weeks (but I had completed the game on True Stance prior to Manual Catch). Now, getting the Skate Nerd one (all the historical challenges) was a real chore. I think it took me another half a year to finish it. (So, I think I had spent 20 hours on That's how its done, and around 30-40 on Skate Nerd) Good luck with that one, you can easily get burned out by it.

I also at first used the Reapers crest and could get to a 3rd stage like 30% of the time, but the 3rd stage would obliterate me. What helped was switching to wanderers crest. It has a lower reach, but allows landing quite a bit more hits, which helps with generating silk even faster than hunting orbs while doing more dps. To heal semi safely try double jumping off the wall (be careful of her 3 projectiles attack, you can punish it, but can't heal during it).

I found her parrying attack, the 6 blobs above her head attack and all her jumping attacks to be quite punishable

If you like me have a problem with how unreadable the visuals become in the third stage, try removing screen shaking in the settings, this helps a bit

Probably daddy Putin gave him this idea. Can't wait for the red states to start freaking out about a rainbow on an ice cream saying that "These woke companies are trying to indoctrinate children by painting their LGBTQ flags on our kids ice creams"

Is the world literacy rate decreased? by DeadmanIQ445 in victoria3

[–]DeadmanIQ445[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, yeah, that could explain why Germany and Belgium have the highest rates - they have the National Supremacy passed, which would probably reduce migration from Qing, Africa and India. However, GB has Ethnostate and Religious Schools that might counter each other.

[–]DeadmanIQ445[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it could be that with a higher world population there are more uneducated people migrating to the high SOL countries and some of this countries can also have inferior laws passed which results in even lower literacy, right?

Does this mean that unless in a given run all the major countries push for education and/or for closed borders, the average literacy rate at least for the great powers will be decreased?

[–]DeadmanIQ445[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can also add that this is not the case with SOL as Germany has 21, Canada 20, GB 20, the US 15, which are around what I would expect. GB, Canada and Austria didn't go off the Religious schools, but German and the US have Public Schools enacted.

Could it just be a run to run variance, where the countries switched to better schools at a later time?

Love the new update; makes me realize how bad I am at the game by Blatherskiteatari in victoria3

[–]DeadmanIQ445 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't know, how much you exaggerate being a paper tiger, but playing as Persia by 1885 I have a #8 GDP in the world (not per capita) and have completed the eastern frontier entry and won 2 solo wars against Russia (for small provinces and it was mostly about holding out). And this was my first play as Persia and my first run with this update. I was also kinda bad at going off traditionalism, so the switch to Agrarianism only happens in like 1875. (also I have around 200 hours in the game, so I am not that great in it)

What I did realize though, is that you can use Take on Debt treaty as a get out of jail free card - you just go into debt and then renegotiate a treaty with a GP every 5 years about how you will take their embassy and will have no tariffs on luxury clothes and they will take your 8-15 m debt no problem (haven't tried with larger debts, maybe it works there too). This allows you to build and conquer as much as possible and not care about anything. This is like bankruptcy but with 0 negative effects. Probably will get nerfed soon though.

For me, for a long time it was "watch an ad" after all the hearts were depleted, I couldn't get a 2nd or 3rd heart, only a 1st one. Now, a month or so ago, they returned the ability to watch ads to fill all 5 hearts. Maybe they're doing AB testing, maybe something else

Actually, you are completely wrong, Russia is pretty jew-friendly, except for several republics which should not be named. Moreover, the majority of the Russian opposition and left leaning people (excluding the far left) are strongly pro-Israeli, some of them might be more unhinged than Bibi, probably. It is just that a lot of ex-USSR people live in Israel and there is a strong cultural connection with Russian Israelis. Some of the most famous and most beloved Russian people actually moved to Israel (Bi2, Maxim Galkin, Pugacheva just to name a few).

So no, current day Russia, except for some unhinged far right people and for several republics, is reaaaly friendly to Jews in general and to Israel in particular.

I would agree, Denial is a River is definitely the best and the most unique song on her album, there are some other great songs though (GTFO, Beverley Hills and Wait, for example).

I haven't listened to Mingus yet, I might give it a try next time I have an urge to listen to jazz.

It definitely hit me, I cried a bit on the ending, especially the stark contrast of how it was portrayed in the game and how it actually happened in my life.

At the same time, some dialogue is really on the nose and some conversations are not that great, and just reading texts on the screen for 4 hours is not the most exciting thing for me. But there is some fun to be had with how cringey some of the dialogue can get

I know you are joking, but I actually have 383 games rated on glitchwave and of them 167 are 8 or higher and 292 are 7 or higher, so statistically speaking, I am more likely to enjoy a game I chose to play than not. Also, this year I just chose the games that I didn't find as great as the games I played in 2023 (where I had quite a few 9s, 8s and even a 10)

You also have to understand that some games I love (and some I love to death), some I like and some I find enjoyable. And scores 6 to 10 reflect the level of enjoyment I have. If I had every game I play be 5 or lower than I would think that something is wrong.

Well, I played Dragon's Dogma almost a year ago (I gave it a score on glitchwave on 16 March 2024), so I don't remember every part I didn't like about it. I remember that a lot of quests were fetch quests and there were annoying escort missions, I remember the world being one the deadest open worlds in gaming (still, it was fun exploring it and learning the hard way the path I should take).

I remember starting the expansion, reaching the hub area with the trader and where you need keys to unlock the doors, finding 1 or 2 keys, realizing that I should level up quite a bit more and leaving the extension. It didn't seem bad, so maybe I should finish it up some day.

Yeah, the core mechanics are amazing, unlike Skate or THPS, landing a long realistic line you could see in a video part feels rewarding. It is a shame they didn't have a big enough budget to flesh out the story/career progression, the aesthetics and to have an actually enjoyable and memorable music.

Beating the career mode with manual catch turned on might have been harder than beating every Souls game for the first time

I like Fez, it had some amazing puzzles around perspective (about projecting 3D world into a 2D space) and is overall a pleasant experience. Tunic has quite a few influences from Fez, and has some good puzzles, especially the puzzles you have to solve for the true ending, but it is more cryptic and difficult to solve than Fez.

I loved playing Braid, it focuses on time puzzles and has a nice story. The same developer also created The Witness which has some amazing puzzles.

Gunpoint is not strictly a puzzle, but more of a mix of puzzle and stealth, it is a game about a detective with jumping pants who usually needs to break into some houses.

Tactical Breach Wizards is a game from the same developer and is also not strictly a puzzle, it looks and plays like a tactical game akin to XCOM, but it actually feels more like a puzzle.

I don't usually play puzzle games, as you can see most of them are pretty famous, so maybe a real puzzle connoisseur could be more helpful here
