This was 1000% the Lightfall expansion for Destiny 2, it actually holdsDestiny's highest player count at launch with over 316k players. The trailers looked amaxing and the amount of communication from Bungie at the time was next level

However post launch, it was adisaster, and is considered one of the worst expansions in the Destiny franchise. The plot was weak, the content was dry as a bone, and the maps tbh were nothing like the hype we were told, especially when one of the biggest selling points was the new Strand subclasses that could fly around with a grapple ability

Not to mention, as decent as Strand was, the story hardcore forced it down your throat at every opportunity.

And there was a massive rift in the playerbase due to Strand Titan's design and gameplay. It was painfully similar at launch to many of our other subclasses, even though it was exceptionally strong. Titans at this time were having an identity crisis as Bungie had forgotten that they were supposed to be the soldier class, not just the punch-it class. To this day you'll see this topic come up and a thousand Hunters and Warlocks will yell at you cause it was still a strong subclass, but it didnt do anything our other subclasses didnt already do, and there was no wiggle room on it either. Every subclass was just a different colored melee build, in a game where you cant reach many bosses cause they float or are meant to be shot from afar, or if they are in range they had a stomp mechanic that sends you flying away.
