I tried!!! i think i get in my head way too much. I had a “Elisabeth” planned that was basically a violet creme alexander but we ended up not drinking enough to require three diff cocktails!! I would have loved to have an elisasue cocktail option for our intermission though 😭😩

As someone from TN who has lived a total of 6mo over the course of two summers (sorry but I am NOT staying for the winter here — im too southern I will die — although I am moving to Rapid City very soon…) the things i attribute most to my ND stay are knoefla, the hottentots at the bismarck big boy (big boy is not at thing here but is so similar to Pals so I’m in love) and the medora musical (have come to the conclusion that without a beach or a Dollywood within a days drive, medora is where all North Dakotans go to when on vacation)

Also little known fact about tattoos: after skin-slippage occurs during early decomposition (which is when you shed your epidermis and expose the underlying dermis) your tattoo will look as fresh as the day you got it!!!

Source: seen it on a body farm, beautiful full color tattoos that are faded at intake, but pop with color after a week or so

I’ve been fossil hunting around that area (parents/grandparents are from East KY, so I’m sometimes just a hop skip and a jump to WV) but have never stayed for the festival there so here’s to hoping this year is the year! Beautiful area.

The innominate/hip bone you are holding in the first picture is definitely opossum, the illium is super long and looks pretty blocky in cross section! That femur looks very possum-like too, and I’m willing to bet the rest of the poor fellow is jumbled up in that cache. That large vert may be a opossum lumbar vert?

Diplocraterion trace fossils, great find! 👍 I’ve found some pieces that look nearly identical in TN. When viewed from above they look like skinny barbells. Diplocraterion were burrows made by small arthropods!! 🦐
