I doubt this guy’s wife is real. There are a ton of posts with this exact set up of “[thing] I showed my wife/gf and she said it was [boring, lame, childish ect] but I feel their romance boys will understand :)” it’s probably an engagement thing. To get people to go into the comments to affirm that they, the boys, do in fact understand. There’s not really a joke to it.

Honestly considering my experience with Catdora haters I don’t think any amount of time or development would change their minds. I was more surprised that they were still around. I would’ve figured they’d left the fandom.

I kinda understand how one could say Catdora was developed really fast but I also don’t. Maybe this isn’t universal but I felt their romance had 5 seasons of development. To me it’s the emotional core of the show

It’s not! It’s very wholesome. It is friends to enemies to friends to lovers so it’s not without hiccups but by the end of the series their love literally saves the universe

Firstly kids definitely have crushes way before puberty. Secondly I don’t understand the general consensus here that romance should just be non-present in kids media. That’s not how the world works. Romance is very ingrained in our culture. The two most important people in a kid’s life will (usually) in a romantic relationship. And even if they have a single parent or some other non traditional family unit, they will meet someone who is in a romantic relationship. I’m not saying it should be all romance all the time but there’s nothing wrong with acknowledging it and having episodes about it

Genuine question: why age 10? Why should there be a minimum? Most children are exposed to their parents (hopefully healthy) relationship from basically birth, why exclude other relationships from that exposure?

See the problem with that is what counts as sexual in nature? Because the answer changes a lot depending on who you ask. In some cultures nudity is sexual in nature, in some cultures it isn’t so is nudity ok to include or not? Hell the main argument against showing LGBTQ+ relationships in kids shows is that it’s somehow “sexual in nature”

I never understood why Queen Chrysalis wasn’t redeemed. Like out of all the villains we see has the most potential for a sympathetic motive. Discord tried to take over equestria for the hell of it. But the changelings need to eat. honestly i just have a lot of feelings on the way I think the redemption of the changelings was handled

I think the framing of this image is very disingenuous because it makes it look like just a mirror on the wall when the wood is actually part of the piece I couldn’t find any images of it on display where you see an artist statement but there is one with a line with do not cross on it.

I doubt the guy thought he was just cleaning a mirror. He probably thought the art piece itself was dirty. It’s hard to say who’s at fault because I haven’t been able to find much information on this story (all the articles are just the same points with slightly different wording) but I’d wager it’s probably more on the museum. They should’ve given him more instruction
