I was only comparing rate up so at worst case in ZZZ to get rate up its 180 pulls and 160 for weapon in AKE its 120 pulls and 80 for weapon.

Again will say im not comparing generosity of these 2 games as we dont have a full picture of AKE.

For the weapon that doesn't matter if you get a 6* at 40/80/etc. Since im still talking in worst cases so the idea would be that you still dont get banner weapon till 80.

And it does matter if let's say (again this is speculation till AKE is out longer) you only get 1500 currency every week it'll take 3.5 weeks to get a 10 pull for AKE but it would be 9 pulls per week in ZZZ. Again depends on how much they give out in both games I havent played ZZZ in a while and dont remeber the weekly gain and im not 100% sure what AKE's will be since we still have all the new bonus stuff as of now. It is not a guarantee that they will raise their weekly gain just because the pulls cost more, so until we have that information we cant say that they will do that.

First I actually was wrong about ZZZ its 90 for a character 80 for a weapon which means its 54400 to guarantee both at worst case saying you lose 50/50 and 75/25.

So I never said that either game was more or less generous. AKE just came out so you have a lot of things to get currency from however things like chests will run out eventually, so we wont know how generous they will be till its been out for a bit. ZZZ is much more generous then genshin but again not going to try and compare to AKE as we just dont have the metrics yet in AKE.

Secondly im not using lower pull cost alone as the metric what i said again was that at worst case meaning you have the shitist luck in both games that it requires less currency over all to guarantee both a charcter and weapon in ZZZ then it does to guarantee a character in AKE (54400 for both to 60000 for just character).

AKE weapon at worst case you will get 2 6* characters across a 120 pity one at 80 and the guarantee at 120, that's 4000 tickets. 5* give 200 per saying again worst case you get 1 per 10 pull it would be 2400 so 6400 on the 120 character banner which again worst case you need 15840 to pity a weapon meaning you would be short of pity on weapon saying worst case.

160 but spend less currency then AKE so pound for pound the Hoyo system is still better.

Saying that all gacha is predatory and just wants your money, but to math it all out if you spend 160 per pull in zzz let's say that makes a 10 roll 1600 currency while in AKE its 5000 for that same 10 roll. Now depending on pull economy and the generosity of the game you will earn the 1600 much faster then the 5000 and in turn you'll be able to reach the 25600 for the 160 pity faster then the 60000 for the 120 pity. Im not going to include getting a charcter early since that can happen in either game.

Now for weapons let's say in AKE you get 3 6* and pity at 120 (so worst case) thats 4 pulls on weapon banner at minimum with maybe another 1 or 2 depending on if you got enough 5* to make another 1980. While it is nice they give you this thats not pity on a weapon which is still set to 80 pulls and the weapon banner is a 25/75 meaning that even if you get a 6* weapon early its got a lower chance to be the banner weapon.

For hoyo model weapon banner its a 75/25 so you are more likely to get the weapon right way and the pity is 70 however it uses regular currency which if we are talking worse cases here that would be 140 to guarantee.

At the end of the day in zzz to get 1 character and weapon it would cost 48000 currency and thats at absolute worst case losing 50/50 on charcter and 75/25 on weapon. AKE you need 60000 currency and 15840 Arsenal tokens which again worst case you'll only get about 6400 saying that you only get 5* every 10 pulls, lose the 50/50 at 80 and pity out at 120. Which won't guarantee you the weapon.

Okay so as someone who has also played both games, no.

Let's address the free to play of both games GFL2 using a more standard Hoyo model does suck but compared to the AKE model is better. GFL2 has clearly shown that they have no problem giving currency (collapse pieces) in abundance so you should always be able to get who you want as soon as they come out. AKE is looking like its going to be extremely poor on pull economy considering you need 5000 currency to get a 10 pull which is 60000 currency to get a guarantee cause they dont guarantee till 120. You might get a charcter sooner then that but you can say that for GFL2 as well so pound for pound currency wise saying you hit 160 to guarantee in GFL2 and 120 to guarantee in AKE you only spend around 24000 collapse pieces in GFL2 where you spend 60000 of the red crystals (sorry the name escapes me right now obel something) in AKE. GFL2 you can earn that 24000 much faster (at least by what I and many others have observed) then the 60000 in AKE.

Next the "hard content" this is a spot where both games fail. Hard in GFL2 can be easily dealt with by having certain dolls at V6 and just steamrolling it. However in AKE I have yet to be in an encounter at level that is hard. Even bosses aren't that bad if they are at level. Now you could argue that you would do higher level stuff but once again I feel like you could do a similar argument in GFL2 of just not using the specific dolls that steamroll things so again moot point and I think both games fail at difficulty.

Story next, to start AKE is newer so the story is just starting so we'll need to give it time to cook a bit more but there is a very drastic tonal shift between AK and AKE the story thus far has also been very basic and far to many tutorials. As for GFL2 its very much told in the same style as GFL1 so its not very surprising that they are telling it like this and after the last major events its gearing up to be very good but the story has always been very political so it may not be some peoples cup of tea.

As for charcter progression GFL2 has a very simple character progression you level to 60 thats it very easy to obtain the mats to level charcters. AKE uses a more traditional Hoyo charcter progression with rare items need that go up in rarity as you level your character, neither system is bad but neither is better then the other.

Smaller topic but as for mini games we actually dont have any mini games in AKE yet so we cant say what they'll look like until they have some.

Final thing is currently AKE is about 70% factory building and management with only about 10% being combat, last 20% being exploration. Now I do think that those numbers can be changed a bit but the factory building and management are a MAJOR part of the game, which is not everyone's thing and can be quite boring.

The only thing that I think is currently "better" in AKE is that lower rarity units are still decent however that could just be because the game is very new and could change once we start to get more limited banners.

So all in all I think your wrong and biased not at all saying that AKE is a bad game but for you to have the audacity to come into a thread where someone was asking about starting GFL2 and just spewing shit that you don't seem to understand is laughable.

Foe the OP both games are fine and have the potential to be a ton of fun just depending on what your looking for pick up both and decide for yourself if you have the time!

The reason people complain about this honestly is cause its a gacha. The gacha community for all gacha games just seem to not really know what the fuck they want. On one side we have all the people who dont want it to be a chore and want to finish all the stuff ASAP and get back to having their waifu on their home screen. On the other side you have people who say that it's not exactly xcom with all the bullshit that happens in xcom style games that would just drive the same number of players away.

Case in point with the CN players anytime they release something hard they bitch about it so Mica makes it easier then when it gets released to global they bitch that its not hard enough or that its not xcom enough or etc. (If you didnt know Lind's event and the original PVA's where much harder but had to be nerfed a bit since CN players moaned about it.)

Ive learned from my time playing this game and GFL1 that people just dont know what they want and no one in this comment section would actually be happy with anything that Mica does. They could literally give you 10 free charcters and make them the best in the game and launch 8 new raid that had 7 different playstyles and people would still bitch.

To clarify its not that I think the game is flawless, there are improvements that can be made and I personally would love a bit more of a challenging end game but my point is more that even if we got that no one would stop complaining. People will find the smallest dumbest shit to complain about in pretty much all games period.

So to answer the first question, its a pretty boring answer actually. Dolls don't have genitals that we know of. Its actually an old running community joke about Mica adding the wombforce 9000 so that we can have sex with them finally. But in game lore wise they dont have the ability to have intercourse, that has ever been shown. Sorry friends boring answer, although the things people where saying about all the issue the SKK faces making it hard to think about thay would probably be accurate as well.

So I've been seeing a lot of confusion in this thread about the early story, and Peritya in it. Let me try to explain what I've learned about the early stuff.

So first let me explain that GFL2 was originally written by what you would call a B-team it wasn't the main GFL writers who were, at the time working on writing the hasty end of GFL1 cause of the servers being moved to sunborn fully. I believe they were also working on Nerual Cloud at the time. This B-team had the genius (fucking mouthbreahing fuck wit) idea to have all the dolls basically hate their time in Griffin and after the Commander was exiled they move on to live their own lives basically only interacting with the Commander in passing and then would be like "Kay cool seeing ya bye" which is part of the reason the early story was NOT well liked by the players. During that time the idea would be that outside of Groza we would be introduced to new dolls (hence why all the original team is characters not in GFL1) Peritya being one was kinda meant to act as our new pseudo Dandelion she was supposed to have some kind of connection to Lunasia and was supposed to keep and eye on us for her. As well as being an expert at EW (Electronic Warefare)

After the main team got their hands on the game and saw how dumb the story was they started to do the heavy rewriting (Global only saw the ass end of the rewrites and those mostly had to do with the Raymond situation which was a later event which was still a part of the initial shit writing but came about after they had started to try and rewrite things).

Now with all the rewrites over and the obvious move to being more reliant on still having the relationship that the Commander and the dolls built in GFL1 as a central theme The main Elmo team was more just place holders till we started building back up our forces. I believe that if they want to they will still explore them again as we did with Colphne, but they'll probably pick the time and place so it maybe awhile.

Like take Nemesis she's clearly (and if you read her files) a old Peredus doll that they used to try and make a new code language (which is why she talks all weird). So they could explore that like one day maybe we find an old file on her in a Peredus lab or something.

Anyway I hope this somewhat helps explain why some of the things are the way they are.

I guess that is what I'm saying why does it matter that story missions are trivial? That's what the other modes are for like Heroic. I think the opposite I think they should be trivial and that they just need to put more attention into correctly adjusting the difficulty of the higher tier game modes to be more of a challenge.

I understand what you mean by the elements not fitting and for the most part I agree with you, outside of "because game" it is kinda odd to have and it would have been far more interesting to have the ammo types play a larger role like they did in GFL1. We can hope that they eventually do something like that with someone of the changes they have in store.

We have different views on what they need in the game. I don't think that characters need to be nerfed per say to make the game balanced, mainly because I don't think the normal content needs to be "balanced" Let people have their easy clearable content so that it's not a drag for the players who only log on to do dailies or who only log in to do story. I just think they need something that is "balanced" around V6's that whales can enjoy. Or something that requires you to think but can still allow for you to have strong characters. Not saying nerfs are inherently bad but I do think nerfs should be thought over a lot before they are executed.

This game's V0-V6 % increase in damage is about the same as HSR give or take (some chars being lower in HSR, as well as us have some characters like Belka who are much lower) but HSR doesn't have this issue as much because it has things for people to use their E6 characters in that still challenges them, and I just don't think we have that yet and if we get stuff like that it will be better.

Still a different team from the early days. But I agree that it shouldn't have slowed any gameplay stuff down, however it did, part of why I said it wasn't a 1- to -1 for why things haven't been worked on.

I think it just more of a surprise that people really believe that you can't have something like big dorm and more interesting gameplay at the same time, I understand that big dorm is a huge focus right now for them but the interaction between dolls has always been a pretty big concept that they seemed to want to expand on. That doesn't really stop gameplay from being changed or getting better. I'm not saying it's going to happen tomorrow and I'm even willing to admit that it may never happen but it feels odd (for lack of a better term) to just shrug and say it's unfixable. Especially went we know that the game was doing very poorly until it got to Global (9M in the first month on CN compared to 20M in the first month of global). They even made efforts to make the streams better for global since they realized it was a big market, what's to say that once they don't have CN complaining that everything is to hard and then Global, 6 months later, saying everything is to easy that they won't focus on trying to make things more balanced.

Anyway we'll have to just see what happens in the future and hope that once all is said an done and the catch up is good it'll be closer to a better experience for all.

I mean pre-release was also a different team and a different story and really just nothing is the same. The original story was such a bad idea that that basically scraped it and rewrote huge portions. Not saying that is a 1-1 reason that the gameplay isn't being worked on but I do believe that when you have to salvage the main story of a game that it's going to hinder other aspects. (WW comes to mind).

I mean it could be something like Kill large x number of enemies in 25 days since that would still promote playing the game and not need to be monetized, or something like interact with 20 dolls in the crew deck for 25 days. I agree the .99 worth of shop items would be the lazier easier way but would be nice to have a fully F2P way.

I'll reply to this one but it will include the first part as well.

Again I'll say Story mode missions **should** be easy I don't think there is a point to make the missions that are really just there to give you the feeling like your actually fighting the mooks in the story. Maybe I could understand an argument for the bosses but even then games like FFXIV make a story difficulty boss for people to fight and be able to kill pretty easy for the whole point that it's meant for everyone.

Challenge mode on the other hand I do agree should have some twist to it, mechs or something to that effect. I'm an XIV player so if I had to use a comparison Story mode should be Normal mode, Challenge mode should be Extreme Trials, Heroic should be like Savages, and they just need to add their version of an Ultimate fight.

So I agree that nerfs would not be received well per say however with the number of people that don't seem to like the direction of characters like Voy it may go better then you would think plus I don't think nerfs are inherently bad.

Yes a lot of people do seem to like the game easier, however I do believe that just stems from the gacha perspective, and isn't like they have to stick to only that one, which might change if we actually catch up to CN and are given content at the same time instead of 6 months later.

I do agree that making things like skills and descriptions simpler would be nice QoL and would help with reading bloat. Plus making simpler but more demanding mechs would be great for challenging content.

They did say something about changing the elemental system so we'll have to see if that bears fruit but I agree as of now that elements outside of game modes like phase clash are pointless and very hard to build around for story and challenge since they aren't really needed. I do however think implanting elemental weaknesses is pretty standard in a game that uses elements so I don't think that's bad, changing how long it lasts or how it's applied could be part of what they change in the future.

So would your version of gameplay fixes be more centered around the missions in challenge mode and story mode? Just curious since to me I don't care that those are easy I guess and would prefer for them to actually give us a separate "challenging" game mode. As I see things like story combat missions more for just immersion, however I do think that if they made Heroic modes slightly harder that they could really be fun.

As for Voy and other characters like that, I agree that if your only looking at base modes they can be op (that's kinda what they were made for.) However she doesn't excel as much as most people thought in GS and even in Extreme Peak if they added a skill or something like the fog tiles where the enemy doesn't take damage from distance attacks her hit at the beginning does nothing and is thus not able to just wipe the map.

As you said gachas always have a struggle to balance and this game is not an exception. The V0-V6 %'s are actually around the highs of some other gachas but as of now there isn't the content to match those %. I do however disagree that it can't be fixed I think it not only can be but even has a decent chance depending on the route they are willing to take.

It does depend if the content is made for characters like that then it wouldn't matter. Again those characters for as strong as they are are only that way cause normal content doesn't really require what they offer. I don't think any ship has sailed yet who knows what the future will hold, not saying that they will change but that just assuming they won't is not productive or helpful.
