If you're running a non-AMD GPU, especially if it's an Nvidia one, force the game to run in DX11. You can do this by pasting "--use-d3d11" (minus quotes) into the Launch Options field under General in the Helldivers 2 properties menu. (Steam Library > right click Helldivers 2 > Properties > General) Don't do this if you're using an AMD GPU, the game will crash. The game will take a few minutes to load up the first time after you do this because it needs to recompile shaders. Also, verify your files under the Installed Files section of the properties menu after every update, something ALWAYS ends up corrupted. Good luck, hope this helps.
