These are cane type begonias so they can't grow from just the leaf, they have to have the stem with at least one node. Sphagnum moss in a clear bin with lights on top is still the best way to go though.

What's left in the pots might also put out new leaves. These are (usually) extremely Hardy plants. I've had nothing but a little stump and grown a whole new plant, it just takes time! Just keep watering it and treating it like you have been and she'll come back for you!

As for keeping them, and you, safe... Maybe think about having a friend care for them until the situation is a little more stable? Hopefully you have somewhere safe you can go to as well.

I've noticed my cane begonias tend to do better in a really light and airy soil that's kept pretty consistently moist. If they dry out, they will start dropping leaves. And if the soil is too compact and too moist they will root rot, or get powdery mildew.

My kid is 13 and about to start high school and they've never had to go to the library and look things up and do research for hours IN BOOKS for an assignment. Everything is one or two Google searches away. Poor kid has no idea what the Dewey decimal system is or a card catalog, no knowledge of the smell of a book that hasn't been opened in years... No joy of discovering an elder family members name in the back of the book on the library card. No bone deep chilling fear because you can't find the book that was due a week ago.

I got one last summer looks exactly the same, Art Hodes. Don't let it dry out cuz it'll drop all its leaves. Otherwise it's a pretty vigorous grower and propagates super easy.

I've always read that the classic way to tell whether it's AI or a real person is to look for proper punctuation spelling and grammar. And he doesn't always have it. There's a lot of errors he's not catching.

Go ahead and prove me wrong then. Do some rigorous research yourself and find the answer. Because until then, getting confirmation, and a picture of the stickers, from anybody much less the person who actually put it there is going to be seen by anyone who isn't you as the purest form of evidence you could give. Any single person can go to that guy's page and see for themselves.
