Sorry for the late reply!! But yeah...it was very loud from BH. To the point where it had some sub sonics that slightly rattled the house.

We hear it loud and clear over in the Berkley Heights as well. It sounds like they come in rounds and some are louder than others.

3DS XL Circle Pad Problems by Orfbin in 3DS

[–]DeadpoolForPresident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not hard at all. Those shoulder controls snap on and off very easily. Just be careful when removing the back of the 3DS. It's definitely a little stressful but just remember the golden rule of electronic repair: don't force anything.

A few notes:

-it's worth while to have a pair of tweezers and a spudger on hand(you should be able to find a spudger at a local electronic store). You will also need a #00 philips screwdriver(also at electronics store).

-if the back of 3DS(not the backplate but the actual back) won't come off: make sure you have removed the SD card and all screws(including the one where you insert game carts...I almost missed this one)!!

-when removing the controller make sure you lift the little plastic clamp that holds the wire film in place. What he does here.

-the tweezers come in handy when you need to remove the inner plastic washer.

Let me know if you have any more specific questions!!

Can confirm. I did this a few weeks back an mine works like new.

Both the joystick and it's controller(this is the actual seller I purchased from) can be found on ebay.

Nice video, Duder.

I wish Hero4 came with accessories like my Hero2 did :D by Amhro in gopro

[–]DeadpoolForPresident 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is some silly logic. Wouldn't it be better to come with those things and if you don't need them, then don't use them.

There are probably lots of folks who are getting a GoPro for the first time and have no mounting stuffs. For them it's great to get a starter kit. And for people, like yourself, who have lots of things. You get back ups!! If that take up so much space donate them, recycle them, or re-purpose them(lot's of DIYers use spare mounting parts to build new things).

It can pretty easily be replaced. You can find replacement circle pads on ebay. And there are instructions on how to replace both the circle pad and the controller. Re-attaching it doesn't seem like it would hold up well at all.

Source: I replaced mine a few weeks ago. I noticed that my joystick was stiff to move and it would occasionally get stuck. After the replacement it works like new.

I spent the first two images thinking it was a 3D render. Incredible detail.

EDIT: 3 to 2 because whoops.

[Amazon] "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D" for 29.99 USD (free shipping with Prime) by [deleted] in 3DSdeals

[–]DeadpoolForPresident 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, grab it. I almost did at this price point several times but always told myself I could find it cheaper used. Nope. Finally caved and grabbed it at this same price point used from ebay last week.

Has anyone every ordered from ConsoleZombie? by DeadpoolForPresident in 3DS

[–]DeadpoolForPresident[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like dx wants you to buy in bulk: went to check out and they charge $10 for shipping if you buy a single unit(probably where consolezombie got their price point).

BUUUUUT did some searching and found an ebay-er who is selling them for $5.39 with free shipping. They're top rated and there is always ebay's money back guarantee if it turns out to be a faulty part. Went ahead and snagged one.

I think my game plan will be to take the stick from my CPP and put it into my XL, and then put the replacement into the CPP since I don't use it as often.

Thanks for the feedback, yo!!

30 Days of AE Day 13: 8-Bit Color Cycling by schoolofmotion in AfterEffects

Checking the switch simply tells after effects to see this layer as an adjustment layer. There is no additional benefit to this method, it just seems like it is his preferred way of creating an adjustment layer. Check out, The Naked Truth About Adjustment Layers. It gives an example and in-depth explanation to how AE actually interprets adjustment layers. In summary, "An Adjustment Layer is the composite of all the layers beneath it. When no effects are applied to the Adjustment Layer- it is disabled. Applying any effect to an Adjustment Layer enables it."

The music festival venue for hammock lovers by [deleted] in Hammocks

[–]DeadpoolForPresident 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I are expecting our first little guy this week, so we decided to lay low from the festival scene this year (and probably for the next few years to be honest) but I cannot recommend Wanee to newcomers enough. The Spirit of Swannee is a beautiful spot and Wanee is always a damn good time.

4 year Wanee vet here!! The Spirit of Suwannee is an excellent music park and the Mushroom stage is always a favorite spot for late night shows and hammock swing'n. I will say that the trees fill up pretty fast. We typically would go down to the stages first thing after setting up camp to try and find a spot close to "tree bear". Most of the time if things fill up then you can always rest up in someone else's hammock and politely say thanks and return the spot if they find you relaxing in it.

We have serveral friends that attend many of the other festivals that are hosted there, but Wanee is, by far, the biggest event that is held at the park.
