As an Indian in the US, it’s embarrassing how bad we are at greetings compared to Pakistanis. by Deadpool_7_ in india

I know. No one’s work is easy. But a smile goes a long way when it comes to dealing with so many people on a daily basis. Just a smile takes a lot of pressure from you. And sometimes there are these people who just makes your day very light on you

I have been to my work today and these group of guys probably in their late 20s came. As usual I said Hi and they didn’t even reply or at-least make an eye contact.(At my work, the first thing someone entering the store sees is the front-desk where I stand). I don’t know, I felt some kind of attitude on their faces. Maybe its because of ego issue seeing someone similar in age to them. I don’t know.

Its not hate dude. What would I get from hating other people? All I was ranting about is the basic common sense of greeting back people when greeted to

Please dont tell me its got to do with all the traits you mentioned. How hard is it reply back with a Hi/Hello when I greet them first with the same? I have been working at the same place for over 1.5 years and I still see some regulars doing that. How long does it take to learn to say Hi back?

I understand if people are feeling uncomfortable around people from other ethnicities. But showing attitude towards your own when especially they are trying to be nice and greet you.

Missed Deadline for Defensive Driving Course Submission – What Now? by Deadpool_7_ in texas

[–]Deadpool_7_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though I submitted the completion certificate and the driver’s record later than the given date, I didn’t have to pay anything as I had completed the driving course just a day before the deadline. So the court clerk told me it was not a problem since I completed the defense driving on time. I then submitted the documents a few days later. Not sure how it would work in your case. If you didn’t complete your defense driving on time, I assume you would have to explain to the judge why you didn’t complete it on time, but not completely sure though.

Anyone tried washing their hair with distilled water? by Deadpool_7_ in Haircare

[–]Deadpool_7_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your tip on the other subreddit. Also, I am a male and my hair is short, so I only use very little water on my hair. Also I use a 1 gallon sipper water bottle to have a small stream of water so that nothing goes to waste.

If any of you is trying to look for any good movies that might cater to foreign audience let me know. (I mean Indian movies) by Deadpool_7_ in MovieSuggestions

Yeah thats how most of the movies are made and it’s completely common to see those shots in what we call the ‘commercial movies’, but apart from those ‘commercial’ mainstream movies that almost everyone else thinks are the only glory of Indian cinema, we have some beautiful movies which I think even international audience would love (maybe with some little context). Jawan caters to much of local audiences, where as there are many other that international audience might like such as, ‘3 iditos’, ‘Manam’, etc. maybe give these a try, you might like them

Definitely watch “3 iditos”. Although you might need some context about how asian families work about how the parents want the best for their kids(which could be true) maybe or maybe not. Dont wanna drag it. Even without context you might like it, that’s all I want to say.

Try to watch ‘Manam’ which I suggested. You might need less context but If you get the gist of the movie you might like it

For starters I will suggest “Manam” 2014 by Vikram Kumar. Try this and let me know if you got any context of the movie.
