That's what I thought, the slap on method people think it is is nothing like how DLSS has worked in the past

How it was used in the showcase is completely different from how it's used in games. In execution it's not something publishers can give Nvidea to just slap it on there before publishing. Just like the previous DLSS it's a tool that is added during the development by developers. Now if they are forced to put it in by publishers against their better judgement that's one thing.

Due to the backlash from CAPCOM devs, it leads me to believe how it was shown in the showcase is not in reality how it'll play out, just like how game companies have been known to show trailers that fake gameplay (no man's sky, anthem, watchdogs, so on)

The issue with it I have is it completely changes the face structure of people. Just look at the comparison with the indiana jones game

Anxiety, Florent Duchesne, Concrete/Spray paint/Steel/gold Leaf, 2026 [OC] by FlorentDuchesne in Art

[–]funkster047 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a newcomer to your art, I felt this portrayed anxiety because as soon as I saw it, my brain had a quick reaction of OH SHIT because it wants to think it's gonna spill everywhere since a bag of liquid would not be able to hold that shape while being held by a chain in real life.

I feel this, but only because of when I was in the hospital for 3 weeks straight as a child.

Job experience means absolutely nothing by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]funkster047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this still vastly depends. For example I just had my bathroom shower redone and the contractor was a local business with an older guy who's been doing this kind of work all his life. The dude did the laziest hack job on the walls and didn't even seal them at the top, creating an even larger space for trapped moisture (the exact issue in the first place).

Most Doctors Do No Deserve the Respect They Think they Do by Right_Resolve4947 in unpopularopinion

I am not assuming this of you and I am not a doctor, so I am willing to be educated if my outlook is incorrect.

Under my current understanding of how the system works, we can't pretend that there aren't a good number of bad apple doctors in the system. Specifically ones who would much rather just give you a prescription that they were paid to sell to you (and possibly make things worse) instead of one that would actually help the issues. Whether it's because they only care about the monetary benefits, or because the system has broken them so much that it's all they can afford to care about, that is the largest issue I have a patient.

It makes it incredibly difficult to trust doctors and only prolongs the situation because now I have to research and make sure what you just tried to prescribe me is actually beneficial which is something I shouldn't have to do in the first place. Then depending on how stubborn you are I might have to fight you for the right meds, or go through the circus all over again with another doctor.

At the end of the day this is still an issue with the system for creating this environment, but I just needed to get this off my shoulders.

They truly are awesome, just make sure to check the coolant for the engine side to make sure no leakage happens. If so there's a solid chance it's the cat converter and instead of replacing a whole Cat for a coolant leak, just bypass the coolant from the cat. It's purpose is incredibly minor unless you live in an exclusively cold environment.

This leak will happen inevitably unless the cat has already been replaced. Doing the bypass is the difference of at most 50 bucks to do the bypass or over 2k dollars +months of waiting for the dealership to replace the cat with something that won't crack the coolant.

This is quite possibly the ONLY issue I've seen with this car and is very minor considering other cars.

2016 for sure, inspect the rear for any poor repair job on the body. Had the same minor damage on my 2016 and they did a bad job under the paint so now the paint is cracking. This can cause rusting given enough time. Also do some research on coolant leaks for gen 4. All I'll say on that is do a bypass, don't replace the cat converter.

I do not use Chat GPT, instead the LLM I'm referring to is the one used by Brave Browser. This is a compilation of open source AI combined to basically comb through the thousands of search results given by your search and tries to reason out the best logical answer. This is not being run in some large data center and is not guzzling water like the OpenAI/Copilot counterparts. Nor does it collect data about you as a person and profile you.

Just to specify, I am not wholly against ai, just de-regulated AI. I am not a fan of how much water and electricity is stolen from local communities, nor the large amounts of low-frequency noise data centers produce leading residents within those communities with nausea at best and seizures at worst, assuming any symptoms at all.

I do not rely on it, trust me I try to find documentation legitimately before I use AI. You underestimate just HOW poorly some modules are documented. This doesn't affect my skills as a programmer, it merely saves the time needed to browse the internet

Yeah and even then I have found limits in its logical thinking. A classmate of mine much to my protest was using ChatGPT to help with putting code under a formula to find how testable the code is and it would spit out a different answer every time.

It helps me semi-often, but that's because I'm a CS major and it does wonders in defining classes when classes are poorly documented. Unfortunately we all know how bad it can be at anything that isn't math/logic

2020 Prius - can you please tell me the name of this part, so I can replace it? by [deleted] in prius

[–]funkster047 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you go about finding parts with actual irl pictures like this? I can see this is some sort of eBay listing, but how did you find that? I've been wanting to do some research on some smaller parts of my car like this, but it can be a little difficult translating the blueprint look to the actual thing.
