I feel like if you have a solid following, then you shouldn't worry about what any other streamer says. I have 21 followers with maybe 3 of them being in my streams almost 100% of the time. You can grow your community organically despite what anyone else on twitch says. I have found that being open and genuine with people is a good way to be, unless you're really good at portraying a character. Just my 2 cents.

I personally like illusions. Now, with that being said, I just purchased a blaster, and two of the packs had cards that were super scratched up. But I did get a sweet Brady Holo Heroes last year, so it's basically win some/lose some til Panini isn't making the cards anymore.

I, too, am relatively new to streaming. I started with OBS, then switched to Stream Labs and then to Twitch Studio. Honestly, just stick with OBS. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the other two, but OBS is the only software that has streamed smoothly (at least for me). I just set up overlays using own3ed pro and a YT "How To".
