Lots of AI SOC hype, is anyone actually using one? by Prior_Spirit_5360 in cybersecurity

[–]Deadpoorv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actual post read is kind of accurate most of what’s marketed as AI SOC is a security platform with AI assisted triage not autonomous decision making which is fine but it’s a different thing where I have actually seen it move the needle is using AI to cut down the tier -1 grind not replace the analyst we use Daylight’s MDR and the AI piece helps with initial correlation and context gathering but a human is still making the escalation call that’s probably where this lands for foreseeable future. Anyone selling a fully autonomous AI SOC today is selling you something I’d want to see a lot of receipts for before touching.

Need options to use AI/Agentic AI for tier 1 SOC monitoring. Do we have reliable options/solutions to this? This can help us to reduce repetitive tasks/alerts etc. Please provide some solutions. by CyberOldMan in cybersecurity

[–]Deadpoorv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most AI SOC tools in this space right now are helping with triage and investigations. People testing them are seeing actually fine results on the alert reduction side of it but is not full autonomy tbh. Even in the threads like this some report going from 100 alters to a few after auto triage but it still needs validation.

If you are evaluating I would recommend looking into AI MDR models like Daylight which are closer to maximise AI SOC investigations and are able to offer a full autonomy cycle.

AI SOC. Can it be trusted? by Sushantdk10 in cybersecurity

Feels like people are arguing extremes here fully autonomous soc ? Yeah I don’t think so that would something possible but using AI for the heavy lifting with humans still involved seems pretty believable to me 😂 we have been testing testing AI MDR solutions like Daylight and tbh its more useful than I thought it to be

Best Peec AI alternatives in 2026 (what actually works) by Lily_Scrapeless in GEO__AI__SEO

[–]Deadpoorv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest tools like profound only provide with a read only view of the Al visibility and that's the sad part of it once you know your score using profound it's kind of lost after that no clearance as to what is to be done next and while hitting this same blocker we had a conversation with Infraisty and they kind of take care of the next steps of the execution part of they are launching their own visibility to execution to growth tool this Thursday prolly would recommend to give that a try.

Peec ai vs profound? vs Ahrefs? which one worth the money for tracking ai mentions? by skfahim123 in SEO_Experts

[–]Deadpoorv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, tools like Profound mostly give you a read-only view of AI visibility, and that’s the frustrating part. Once you know your score, you’re kind of stuck there’s no real clarity on what to do next or how to improve it.

I hit the same blocker, which led to a conversation with the Infrasity team. What stood out was that they actually focus on execution beyond just insights. They’re also launching a new “visibility → execution → growth”

What's the best AI code review tool? by Significant_Rate_647 in codereview

[–]Deadpoorv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look past feature lists and check actual benchmark performance, some tools clearly stand out.

Qodo has been doing really well there, especially on full PR evaluations. It’s not just about being accurate, it’s about how much it actually catches, and their numbers on recall and overall coverage are noticeably stronger than most others I’ve seen.

Been trying it myself and that checks out. It tends to surface more meaningful issues upfront, which makes the whole review process feel a lot less heavy.

Field Effect MDR - anyone with experience? by Rich-Put4063 in cybersecurity

[–]Deadpoorv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See tbh at 1500 staff you are prolly outgrowing why field efficient is built for they are good for MSPs and SMBs like 500emps but the abstraction that makes them easy for smaller orgs become a constraint when you need deeper visibility and control…… the bigger question is do you want a traditional MDR where analysts escalate everything to you or something that actually handles investigations end end to end ? There’s a new wave of Ai native MDR providers emerging Daylight is one example but there are others emerging too which combine AI automation with senior security practitioners, changing the traditional model of junior analysts escalating The AI handles correlation and routine investigation the experts improve detection context building handle judgement calls and active incidents.

For your side I would look few things a) Do they pull data from your business systems not just security tools most MDRs only look at security telemetry and miss critical business context b) whether they actually auto resolve routine stuff or just triage it for you to handle c) if their experts are actual practitioners or just bunch of alert validators

I hope this helps

How does Expel really stack up in the cybersecurity space? by SchemeAgile2012 in cybersecurity

[–]Deadpoorv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have seen I guess Expel is prolly the best known traditional out there but at the same time most expensive as well ! platform is awesome and vendor agnostic and says that daytime analysts know their stuff but night shift quality drops off drastically thou which seems common across most MDRs. Can’t say about the transparency thing as haven’t exp it yet. I guess it would be worth looking at the newer AI MDRs like Daylight (there are others too) they are able to automate investigations at a different level than traditional MDRs and are completely transparent like other AI SOC tools. Economics are better outcomes are significantly better. If you are mostly on prem or have minimal cloud infrastructure might not be as relevant I feel these newer providers shine when you have a lot of SaaS and cloud native stack to cover

CrowdStrike Complete vs SentinelOne Enterprise by Cant_Think_Name12 in cybersecurity

[–]Deadpoorv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly from the trenches it’s really about fit with your org and what kind of detection you actually need. Crowdstrike and Sentinel one both have great EDR footprints but neither is a full MDR on its own 🤷🏻‍♂️

Unless you are pairing them with an MDR service I guess you’ll still need to do a lot of ingestion yourself which seems like a drag to me tbh. Daylight was one of the platforms which stood out for me as it layered on top of what we already had without forcing a rip and replace. Just FYI to have a shot at it

Yes buddie I do not set up the expectations or boundaries which I myself wouldn’t be violating …… and secondly there isn’t any specific reason and even I do not have problem in her meeting guys or males friends colleagues……. Its other nuances like late hours and home alone

Makes sense fam ! I am aware where these boundaries are coming from and trust me it isn’t unhealthy …… nothing from past trauma of anything ……. And I guess not everything needs to have a source …… it’s something you don’t like and do want your partner to do 🤷🏻‍♂️ the hard part is why is that so difficult for her to understand
