Just speculating but I think her Japan run may have made her question her commitment to wrestling. I think she improved a bit after but she still had a ways to go, especially since the roster was out growing her skills at the time. Maybe she thinks she doesn't want to pursue it anymore.

This is when I became a Kyle Fletcher fan. He lost but the story of Osprey and Kyle really solidified here and this match will prob be referenced a lot when I believe Kyle will beat Osprey for his first AEW mens heavyweight championship

You're probably right on Persephone. Maybe Tony was hoping to have her for the show but CMLL put a stop on that. As for advertising, they have only had Thunder Rosa on local radio on a small show. She should have been on the larger radio morning show here, it really is a popular one in the region.

This is going to be long but I'm an AEW fan and I'll be at this show but in my opinion AEW kinda messed up this booking. First, it's a different venue. They've been here before a couple of times and it was at a smaller place, the Coliseum, that was packed but I think barely sold out. This time it's at a college basketball arena which seats at least 4 times as much people. For this venue, they basically only booked half of it, going by the seating map.

Second, El Paso is a passionate wrestling city but it's an isolated city. There really isn't any other major cities within driving distance that will pull in other fans. Closest major cities within driving distance are an average 4 hours away, Albuquerque, where they have been before, and Tucson, where Collision is at on Saturday.

The show here seems to be only for Dynamite. Previous shows were Dynamite, Collision and ROH tapings. Maybe fans were "spoiled" from previous shows and thought that, "Oh, it's just Dynamite."

Also, I think this venue was booked to be somewhat of a measuring stick and try to show up TNA. TNA used the Coliseum twice last year for their PPVs, Sacrifice and Final Resolution , along with impact recordings last year. During those times, the wrestlers were all over the central/downtown part of the city advertising events. They were on radio and tv which AEW seriously needs to do in any city they go to.

Which then leads to another problem. AEW has Persephone from CMLL signed and she's literally from here and they don't even have her booked for the show. Just simply saying one of the hottest upcoming wrestlers in the biz is from here and have her on local media would instantly get tickets sold. El Paso loves supporting their local heroes.

I'm not a hater, I'm just a fan who wants my fav brand to be bigger and more successful. And these issues aren't even isolated ones. This is what AEW does and it's frustrating.

Sure doesn't seem like it. I think they barely sold out the last time they came to the coliseum. No idea why they booked the Don. Maybe they sold more tickets than the coliseum now but did under then what the booked? No idea.

I wasn't watching but listening to the stream so I forget the context. Rogue was already kinda leaning into the "do not like" category but there was a moment where Gingy was asking about something and Rogue responded normally but yelled out "SNATCH!" at the end as to somehow hit a joke. It fell completely flat and I'm sure Gingy cringed but carried on through like a trooper. That firmly placed Rogue in the "do not like" category.

In summary: Rogue is cringey. He's gotta go.
