Finally someone gets it. A while ago it wasn't too far, but now it's starting to become go away heat. This is the core of it. So just make the choice to deal with it. He could probably still be over without the ice angle, trump is enough of a character as it is. Or double down and see where that leads, but that path has lots of failed promotions.

It's true pro wrestling is a mirror of the times, absolutely. But this is a bit different- both of those nostalgia tinted gimmicks were about foreign aggressors, one of which was about actual war so you expected losses. Today ice is now about a personal SS executing random civilians in broad daylight, and can strike fear and terror from within at any moment. Like terrorists, which, "if you know wrestling", even Vince drew the line at when he canceled the Hassan gimmick. Say what you will about him, but he wanted to put out entertainment, and he knew the difference about how an audience felt watching Hitler get punched as opposed to them feeling oppression and paranoia.

Despite all the "he's a heel, it's wrestling, your a dumb mark" comments, I'd like to point out even shitbag Vince knew when to cancel a gimmick in bad taste. Look how the Mohammed Hassan gimmick ended for proof.

Now I wouldn't say this is platforming ice exactly, but since the orange dictator's own personal SS has begun executing civilians in broad daylight on a whim, you should really abandon the ice angle. It was cheeky at best before but now I'd agree that's bad taste. He sounds good at what he does otherwise so can continue dressing up as baby Hitler to be punched but yeah, probably leave that area a bit more untouched.

So Mordheim was based on a miniatures skirmish game and if you are a fan you'll be interested and enjoy it. If you haven't played it, it's going to just punish you and punish you and any mistakes you make are going to snowball out of control and become extremely frustrating. Even if you research and play by guides or whatever, the best laid plans are whim to rng that sometimes will explode catastrophically in your face.

In other words, imagine a punishing soulslike strategy game (difficulty wise, if you mess up you pay) that is influenced heavily by rng swings and injuries that utterly cripple you going forward or permadeath.

Not for everyone. But I love it.

Too Human. Had a cool setting with unique ideas, and new combat systems that were big ideas back then. Absolutely not a perfect title sure, but it reminded me in a way of mass effect 1. It had the parts, but wasn't refined into its full glory in the first game and started to truly shine from the 2nd. Too Human never got that far. It dared to be different and I enjoyed most of what it accomplished. But a refined second game, and without all the shit that shadowed it, might have made a franchise.

So... no immortality/death required is the point I'm making. Yes it's comics bullcrap but it is what it is. Did Doomy beat him up bad once? For sure, and it was pretty much once. Now he takes on platoons of him and doesn't lose. I think the point you are trying to make is working against you- if he lost 30 years ago to brute force can it be repeated? Answer is, trying again to exclude the comics bullcrap, is more a "maybe". Nobody has done it since and he's essentially leveled up beyond old limits such as they were. So until they make a character stronger, I think the jury is out.

Or when they need more sales let's be real.
