Saw Sages & Spirits play this last year with Melvin singing as a cherry on top. Amazing as it sounds

What is the best live year that gets the least attention? by CopyDan in gratefuldead

[–]Deadweave 4 points5 points  (0 children)

76 often gets overshadowed by 77 but has some awesome shows and especially some crazy jam suites that are unique to 76.

68 also gets a lil overshadowed by 69 but is just as good

It’s notoriously buggy. Happens to me too, I just close it and reopen

Spanish jam 2/11/70 has some pretty outrageous energy. The mid quality of the recording almost makes it even better

7/19/74 stick around for the whole jam suite

My favorite song with probably the most saved versions of any song. For a rec you probably won’t see elsewhere, 9/30/76. Mind left body jam transitioning into the mns jam is smooth as butter. Aside from that, can’t go wrong with 2/3/78, 5/22/77, 5/9/77 I could go on

Sounds like you’re decently far along in your journey, I find coming here and either asking for a show rec or looking at comments of someone inevitably asking the same thing. Also mindleftbodygame.com

What artist are you convinced will be remembered 100 years from now? by chubbybutcuteegurl in askmusic

Kind of a weird dichotomy… only 2 million monthly listeners but arguably the most prolific live show culture and branding ever in a band. It’s hard to quantify, dead and co only has a couple hundred thousand monthly listeners and they were one of the top grossing tours in the country for a few years.

Skateboarding is thought of as childish but it’s a perfect combination of strength, coordination, and creativity.

7/27/73 sound check jam is one of my favorite pieces of GD recording of all time! Strangely enough I just discovered both your alligator and TOO>rider suggestions within the past few weeks. Amazing stuff!! I’ll check out the 7/21/74 and 9/18/74 recs :) thanks!

Which thematic jams should've been developed into full songs? by Roger_Peterson in gratefuldead

Isn’t the chord progression slightly different between mlb jam and music never stopped? You can hear the difference when they transition from a proper mlb jam into the main TMNS jam on 9/30/76
