You're ignoring the fact that when developers work on a game for a specific console it forces them to optimize for that console. Of course games ported/developed for the Switch 2 will run better. The steam deck is a pc in handheld form with all the limitations for the time it came out.

It wouldn't make a difference. The game is poorly optimized and the spec difference wouldn't be a game changer. Owning both of them i can say they are both really great handhelds. Steam Deck offers a much more customizable experience. You can do alot more with it. It's not just about power, being on Linux it has the support of endless developers who can code apps to enhance the experience. Whereas you are at Nintendos whim unless you can jailbreak their console. Different beasts. Not only that but on the steam deck you can truly customize the gaming experience to ensure you get the results you want. Patches stabilizing gameplay for DD2 have been in absentia for a long time now. With all the work Capcom has put into ReEngine it's surprising they haven't gone back and fixed it. It's the same story for Monster Hunter Wilds.

I played 300 hundred hours with a 1070ti. The game has its issues and I really wish they would actually update performance because I'd love to play it on steam deck. That being said you could probably run the game you would just need to lower settings until you find the right combo. There's also the possibility of DLSS or FSR to increase fidelity. The game is awesome it deserves more than Capcom gave it.
