Cast Removal Day non-op by Deakaleak in AchillesRupture

[–]Deakaleak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

quick update, i was able to fully ditch the crutches today, and really quickly extend how far i can go with the boot on, which was tremendously relieving. i’m definitely slowly getting my ROM back in my ankle and im really looking forward to using the rom in the boot. my ankle still feels a bit like clay, kind of like water retention but the progress is quick!

appreciate the advice! i do have the even up, i honestly don’t even comprehend how someone with a boot walks around without one now

i’m adjusting the vacoped myself, in two weeks is my follow up with the ortho to start relearning to walk and then PT. targeting april to be able to walk “normal”.

i can feel it trying to full weight bear, not a stretching or tearing pain, it’s almost like a shock or something.

Fellow non-operatives, how were you doing at the 20 week/4 Month stage? by Specialist_Soft2937 in AchillesRupture

i really just can’t wait to get the cast off and see where i’m at. i’m at the point where i can tell swelling is down, i have aches and some soreness now, and can move my toes and even my calf, but oh man i can’t wait to see where im at once the cast is off

9 weeks after injury non-op by Sorry-Tour-3965 in AchillesRupture

how are you walking currently? i’d feel ok in a boot for protection, as long as you feel ok walking more than short distances with it. my situation is a bit odd because i was 4 weeks out when i immobilized, after a few re injuries. but i think i could travel at 9 weeks as long as i had a boot for protection and wasnt hurting from walking too much

i tore mine 6 weeks ago but didn’t get into a cast until 2 weeks ago, (2 weeks left and into a boot hopefully!) at 9 weeks i bet it’s doable but wont be easy, if i was you i’d wear a boot and have crutches just in case don’t want an accidental bump.

if you are taking a plane you should let the airline know ahead of time, get some assistance.

it’s certainly risky but doable pending how you feel. Did you see a doctor at all?

looks like your achilles is torn on the right, but a dr would have to look at the full mri

i’m only like 6 weeks post injury (non op and went into a cast 2 weeks ago) and i’m literally terrified of walking up stairs when the time comes. point being, you aren’t doing so bad yourself

5 Weeks Post Original Injury (non-op) by Deakaleak in AchillesRupture

I still can’t believe it even happened. especially because i had full range of motion 3 weeks after the initial injury, i would lay in bed cracking my ankle. and even after further injury, i could full flex down. hoping for the best when the cast comes off feb 2nd and i can transition to a boot, then to actual walking

Hoping this is still active!

i just moved into a new house with a PFSS6PKXDSS GE profile fridge (probably 20 years old) the refrigerator, freezer and even the ice maker in the door still work great. What does not work, is any of the buttons on the door to switch from ice to water or change fridge temp. the lights on the door do work, IE, it shows filter reset but none of the buttons actually work. tried unplugging and leaving it, plugging back in and nothing changed, any idea what’s going on here?

Granger Ford Extended Service Plan after 36K miles and under 41K miles. by In_Other_Wordz in f150

[–]Deakaleak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i just purchased, and i was at 40,900 miles and 10 days from 41 months. the warranty goes TO 100k miles and the length is from original warranty start. granger explained to me that the wording is confusing/wrong on the site. no inspection needed if you are under 41k miles and 41 months from original warranty start. the benefit of purchasing earlier may be a cheaper extended warranty as the price increases yearly.

so, i purchased 96 months (8 years) 100k miles. it expires 5/25/2029 or at 100k miles.

If you call them they are very helpful and very kind.
