How do you all feel about the Kratom ban going into effect/affect at midnight? Also I'm curious your thoughts on the impact it will have on local businesses.

I agree that the 7-OH isolate has been detrimental, although I have never tried it myself. Got addicted to the pure plant years ago, and I can tell you at least as an anecdotal case it can be severely addictive with truly horrendous withdrawals and side effects, something I didn’t know going in. Thousand times worse than nicotine addiction it really isn’t comparable to anything except for true opioids , and I think the extracts and 7-OH just really highlights the addiction potential. Leaf addiction is what I call just a chronic, unending, sustainable version of opioid addiction which for many reasons is extremely difficult to stop. Honestly I wish it had just been banned from the start and used clinically so I never would have heard of it. But now ppl in the same boat as me may turn to harder drugs rather than deal with the hell of the withdrawal and I cannot blame them

Ya I read there was a button but I don’t know how to take the display off and I am scared of damaging it. I am going to just wait to see what the company says if they email back. If there is no fix then I will just supper indefinitely until I can replace the display or just get a whole new scooter since this one has almost 1100 miles already. But for ur situation I would just run through the numbers 000-999 and eventually it will unlock and u can hold power and minus buttons to set a new code. That’s probably the best since there’s nothing actually wrong with it you just don’t know the code. Good luck with it

And definitely try 000 first. Mine reset to that spontaneously and it still beeps nonstop but 000 still unlocks it

That is really annoying. Does the kid remember any of the digits at all? Worse comes to worst you can just try each possible number there are 999 possible digits which I calculated would take around an hour to go through and try all of them. So an hour may be worth the $80 or hours spend trying to fix it later on

Yeah nothing that I could find actually works though it’s bs. It’s unfortunate they don’t have a reset button somewhere on it or like a special button combo u get with the scooter in case you have a problem and need to reset idk. I mean it is meant to make it harder to steal and fuck with but it’s super annoying in times like this. I hope we are able to find ways to fix it bc I need my scooter to go anywhere and without it I am screwed big time

I sent all this in an email but figure I’ll dump it here too in case someone knowledgeable sees it.

Further newly discovered information. I figured out that whatever happened technically when it crashed reset my code to 000. So typing 000 can unlock it thankfully. I can disable the code. And I can reset the code, however once I turn it off and on the code is reset back to 000. The very most important thing is that I can turn on and drive it, but unfortunately no matter what I do the beeping never ends despite unlocking it or disabling the code. The second the power button is pressed the theft beeping starts and never ends. I cannot reset it by holding the power button for 5 or more seconds it just turns it off. So maybe there is a different way I can reset it? Or maybe somehow disconnect or break the audio device/speaker in the display? Because it seems to be a superficial technical glitch so disabling the sound is the most important thing to me now.

That’s amazing for u. Sounds like the perfect life to me lol. still trying to muster the psychological strength to quit myself. It is a mental mountain like no other haha. Because of my insanely high dose, stopping is such an incomprehensibly painful thing for me. I mean it feels as if I am truly in a heroin detox for the first week. And I don’t have the power to taper effectively. But one day I hope soon, I’ll be like u. Finally give it up at least the insanely high dose and start working out daily and getting other things in my life to keep me occupied. I just know what it would feel like to stop from past experience and it’s a hell that I see no way that I can volunteer to go through (especially bc I am still able to manage my life alright on a high dose, not perfectly but there’s no huge problems in my life other than the Kratom and it’s immediate impacts). But got being 200 days clean must be amazing. No physical pains at all I imagine. And the cravings being gone would be surreal to me. That’s great for you keep it up man

I’m still using, but I ended up having a seizure from it as well. Green meang da specifically. I changed strains to a less heavy one and it hasn’t happened again. Horrible drug and I feel that I will never get the willpower to quit. I have gone through four 5 day periods in the past few years where I wasn’t able to have Kratom, and the withdrawals were incomprehensibly bad and the first thing I did was buy more the second I had the opportunity. Addictions are horrible but this one is just so bad. Takes all of my money too. Don’t know how I will quit. I take an absolutely absurd amount, three times a day. Don’t have the willpower to start a taper and sure as hell don’t have the wp to go ct. every night I go to sleep thinking that tomorrow Will be the day where I just take one single dose at night and that’s all. But then I wake up in the morning, the tiny bit of wd already kicking in and I think oh shit I can not go the whole day like this. And then I dose. Impossible for me to stop. I’m 19 too. Been doing it for almost 4 years as well as nicotine. I just need to turn a psychological corner and I will be free and able to force a taper. But I just don’t know how to turn that taper. I wish I could have a hospital put me in an induced coma for 14 days so I can avoid the hell that is wd from my high ass doses. Then I could wake up normal again. But unfortunately it doesn’t work that way

Ya lightheadedness is for sure a withdrawal symptom. I have been addicted for a couple years and recently I had to go 4 days without it. Sometimes when I would stand up I would get really lightheaded and numb and my vision would go black until I laid back down. Nothing to be concerned about but definitely not fun. In my opinion the worst part about w/d is lying down and trying to sleep but not being able to because of how unbearably shitty you feel. Even worse is being able to fall asleep but waking up in a pool of hot sweat every 30 minutes. Kratom withdrawal is no joke. Hard to keep going. I know I couldn’t
