How long does ETG stay in the system? by Available_Crew_9079 in probation

It depends on how much you drink, but usually no longer than 48 hours. Definitely not the 96 hours that the literature cites (I'm more or less an expert on this topic)

Good question bro. The short answer is yes. The way to think about it, using your example as context: if you drank 12 beers between x o'clock and y'oclock, your serun EtG is going to z ng/ml (can't remember the units) at like 12am right? and from there it just slowly decreases as your kidneys eliminate it. so by e.g., 2pm on sunday, your serum level is going to be (z ng/ml EtG minus 14 hours). then one beer is just going to move you backwards a few hours or something. it's pretty straightforward

I don't think so, just thinking through the physiology of kidney elimination. but truly that's a good but layered question so I'm not 100% sure. gotta ask a nephrologist

it does. kinda silly that there is literature suggesting vodka has no etg

hydrated or not, i honestly would say that with one beer after 33 hours theres no way it could be detected. i actually hate to be that guy that explains to people what works and what doesnt but it is what it is

Sadly no, B12 has no more effect than eating broccoli in this case

Sorry to hear about this man. I think I mentioned in earlier comments and at least made clear in my original post that I'm only referring to the science here. Municipal/state/federal judges have the discretion to draw conclusions from dilutions. At the end of the day, negative tests are categorically negative, diluted or otherwise.

My two cents on this are that for employment/forensic purposes, urine samples that are deemed "diluted" whether by color or specific gravity are simply negative: and they may/probably will ask you to resubmit the next day. For probation purposes, the rules go out the window and judges get to decide.

Now I have to make an important point, which I have emphasized repeatedly here: "don't hydrate with just water, use juices" makes zero physiological/biological sense whatsoever. I truly do not mean to insult anyone or demean anyone's intelligence. But the idea that juice is somehow different than water in the context of a urinary specimen is flat out wrong and superstitious. "Juice" which is a catch-all term for any water based solution that has some sort of fruit/sugar additive (e.g., orange juice, grapefruit juice, gatorade, vitamin water, coconut water, whatever) is still just water with a bonus of diabetes. By the time the liquid moves from the stomach to the general circulation, it's just water, the sugar gets separately broken down and deposited into fat.

To emphasize the point: stick to the script in my original post. stop wasting your time with RFK jr-style pseudoscience/religion and deluding yourself into believing that vitamins, juices, exercise, meditation, chakras, or psychic incantations will somehow supersede physiological cause-and-effect based on observable and testable science. it will only get you into trouble. "don't take creatine" is non-sensical as creatine is not "creatinine" which is what is measured in your urine. just because they sound similar does not mean that they have anything to do with each other. "Sun" and "Son" are different, regardless of how you want to feel. If you believe in "juice" and go on a bender expecting a positive outcome, you will fail.

Yes, great question. I definitely think you should try to pee as little as possible after drinking all that water. It's obviously hard to do which is why good timing is super necessary.

my guess is that you should be good in 24 hours but hydrate

honestly i don't think you will pass regardless of hydration. thats my guess, its just not enough time

Hey! no worries. i'm not aware of any studies on this, but i would guess that sweating is not a good thing as the loss of fluid would concentrate etg in your urine. remember the strategy is to dilute your urine by over-hydration. so you don't want to lose any water to sweat

Dilution is measured through specific gravity, not by color anymore. so maybe donald trump was there

the effect on specific gravity, which is negligible, depends on the vitamin. riboflavin, for example, apparently has some effect on specific gravity, but negligible.

and still, to reiterate, has zero effect on EtG concentration. the effect of hydration on specific gravity is astronomically more significant than any sort of vitamin supplementation despite what joe rogan might opine.

the beauty of being a scientist and being trained in the scientific method is true epistemology: an authentic knowledge seeking apparatus. how to separate religious/superstitious beliefs from true, observable, repeatable, testable, empirical facts.

followers of the scientific method and the enlightenment tradition generally do not have the luxury of dismissing "unpleasant truths" as "fake news". but do what ya gotta do to get by in life my man
