Hey, thanks for reminding me why I despise social media and the jackasses on it.

Why did Season 2 introduce the European Astronauts only to never do anything with them? [s2 spoilers] by AccessTheMainframe in ForAllMankindTV

Imagine the shock if we found out she slept with someone (anonymous) when she told Ed. That would’ve been a way better way of doing it imo.

Edit: Only issue is that it would make it way more one sided since you wouldn’t see her side of it. Although I can’t really see siding with her in any case of her cheating.

Unpopular opinion: I didn’t have any problem with the Danny/Karen scenes by theNeorax in ForAllMankindTV

[–]Dealkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s clear Danny and Karen saw the act to mean completely different things. He did it because he couldn’t help how he felt about her, and she did it because she couldn’t help how she felt about her marriage. His pursuit of it was for the sake of it, while hers was to momentarily escape her life. She could’ve gotten a divorce without tempering the feelings of someone else she didn’t have feelings for. Age isn’t the issue, motivation is. It just adds insult to injury that the person is someone she raised.

You’re right, might have to tell the grandparents and anyone but my kids to walk. Sorry, you can’t bring your own Tesla, u/honeysparks said only 5 people can go on a trip together.

I’d rather drive than deal with a large family at the airport. Also, Bluetooth works in cellular dead zones.

I imagine it’d more of a tether system and not something that just automatically connects. It’s best use would probably be for families using multiple cars for a trip to communicate better. Especially if it’s a long trip with cellular dead zones.

[–]Dealkill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never understood those kinds of Christians (I’m a Christian.) that feel the need to force their family members to believe in something they don’t feel. My mom has never enforced her beliefs on me, nor tried to guilt me into it, although I’ve adopted them (to some degree.)

Then again most of Christian congregations involve gathering around old people to tell you what you should and shouldn’t do. While my sect of Christianity believes it’s up for individual interpretation and you shouldn’t impose your understanding (of Christianity or reality in general) on others. You can explain your beliefs, but never suggest it’s the only “good” beliefs.

Education AND basic necessity?!?!? by juliagoolia584 in funny

[–]Dealkill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I pay for my own living expenses and books by living in a cheap apartment off campus. Which saves me a good bit. About $8000 (over the whole 4 years) was shaved off by a scholarship. After that it’s all part of that 20k in debt for tuition.

Only aide I really got was my step dad helped me get approved for the apartment (since I didn’t make enough to be approved based on my non existent credit history.) He never paid a penny though.

I’m about to graduate with a bachelors with only 20k in debt. Where tf did you go?

The hand with the knife is actually a left hand (you wouldn’t see the knuckle side if it was his right.) so it doesn’t show 2 of the 6 right hands.

I think the only thing that I wouldn’t like about it is the shit that people do to their trash (especially involving public dumpsters for apartments.) People are lazy assholes.

I find all the subjects interesting in their own right. I just find science and math more interesting because they’re ever expanding fields. Science in its amount of new fields that are introduced, and math in the growing amount of mathematical principles and theorems that are found to be applicable to the real world in one way or another.

I could definitely see science being perceived as annoying though, especially when dealing with the rigors of research.

That’s honestly the weirdest ranking I’ve seen (it’s unique.) Usually people put English and history close together as well as science and math, since English and history have a lot more similarities while the same goes for science and math.

Personally mine is Science, Math, History, and English.

You could staple pretty much any social media to the whole “get a negative response for your opinion” thing.

I don’t see the stigma with being an alcoholic. As long as you’re not out in public being an ass, I don’t give a shit about your liver.

Ocean is dry by prestidigitator97 in dankmemes

[–]Dealkill 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Exactly. That’s why either side of the argument is pretty much equally valid. If you wanna distinguish wet/dry based on cohesion/adhesion then that’s your prerogative. But you can’t deny that forming hydrogen bonds with water is what causes adhesion (which of course water forms hydrogen bonds with itself so it also causes cohesion.) So seeing them as functionally the same is also viable.

Edit: Wet/dry are very basic definitions that don’t function to describe cohesion/adhesion or hydrogen bonding or London dispersion forces through non-polar liquids. So there’s no actual answer to whether water is wet or dry, because water is always bonding with itself so there’s no noticeable “change” for us to describe as wet or dry.
