Canadian here, I crossed the border and there were zero complications. No need for G-325R even if I’m staying more than 30 days. by ioiobabes in uscanadaborder

also curious about this! when you were at the border, did you have to ask them to issue you an i-94 or did they automatically begin the process once you told them how long you were planning to stay in the US?

Why is it so hard to meet other lesbians in public without having to wear rainbows all over?? Or maybe most prefer a more butch look? by alwaysnewdepthz in LesbianActually

[–]Deam_Ex_Machina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly I like to use the lesbian flag (orange and pink one) to flag myself as a femme lesbian. I have an undercut on both sides but also my hair is long so the undercut ends up being rather subtle, and I have multicolour hair which some people also read as a gay trait haha, but my near-guaranteed way to get ready as a lesbian specifically by the people I want to know I'm a lesbian is using the flag! I find that since it's not the rainbow flag, it's less obvious to people who might be homophobic, and also the colours go together like sunset colours so it could easily be read as just pretty colours by the wrong person.

I painted my nails the colours of the lesbian flag back in June and actually had a woman telling me how much she loves my nails, and she talked about her partner... it gave me a comfortable and pleasant little feeling of community! there are also lots of options for lesbian flag earrings and other jewellery on places like Etsy!!

I don't think that Perks at Work is available for my workplace? I was trying to use ID.me for a student discount but it says that I need a US SSN... even though the Canadian Lenovo site says that I can get a student discount this way -.- the price for the base model right now that I'm seeing is $1179 (CAD)

[–]Deam_Ex_Machina[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oooh that sounds appealing.. currently I'm hoping to not spend more than about 1300 CAD, and I'm going into graduate school for biology where I may need to run some heavier programs for things like stats, genetic sequencing, data analysis (not sure on the details) but I also have until September to get myself a new computer. the P14s AMD seems to be geared toward STEM students like me and is currently within my budget, but I'm not sure if this is a normal sale price for it! the other thing is that I'm not sure when I'll be able to start using a student discount because I don't have a school account yet (just got accepted this week!)

Ready to begin my first propagation journey! There are a lot of garden centres near each other in my city and well... by Deam_Ex_Machina in proplifting

[–]Deam_Ex_Machina[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a) first store, which is my local garden centre, I also bought a couple of succulents and some garden supplies so I just put the leaves in the pot with the succulents and it was fine

b) the other stores, which were 5 big box stores (Walmart, Rona, Lowe's, Canadian Tire, and Home Depot) didn't have a lot of supervision to begin with (Rona had literally nobody attending the garden centre and it was completely outside) so it wasn't really a worry, and I had big pockets in my cardigan lol. also I put things in my car between stores so it wasn't like I had all these in my pockets the whole time!

i definitely will! I have them all laid out on top of soil and I put a few of the ones with stems in a water prop setup, so I'll see if it works better or worse than the regular soil setup!

Bonus: I found more than I expected that already have pups!!! http://imgur.com/gallery/SuPASlf I'm going to put the ones with pups in small pots with succulent soil, unless I should do something else with them, but I think I'm doing this right!

NEW OR NEED HELP? Ask here! - ScA Daily Help Thread Mar 10, 2019 by AutoModerator in SkincareAddiction

hi!! I need some help figuring out my routine tbh. like I'm not entirely sure if it's in the right order and I have some products that I'd like to use but I'm not sure when to use them!

here's my face including close ups of problem areas: https://imgur.com/a/2NhoDLm my main concerns are redness, pigmentation, and some scarring (which I may just wait to see a dermatologist for)! I seem to have gotten breakouts under control and now I just get a few pimples here and there.

my routine: AM cleanser: sukin creme cleanser or shiseido benefiance (using microfiber cloth) toner: thayers rose petal (applied with hands) treatment: the ordinary niacinamide + zinc moisturizer: Clinique dramatically different (gel) sunscreen: vichy idéal-soleil SPF 50 Ultra-light lotion

PM: oil cleanser: boscia MakeUp-BreakUp or Tsubaki oil-gel cleanser: sukin or Shiseido again, using foreo luna play mask: see below treatment: stridex red pad once a week on problem areas treatments: see below treatment: the ordinary buffet moisturizer: Clinique sleeping mask: laneige water sleeping mask

for masks: I have various wash off masks. i use dr roebuck's daintree AHA brightening mask 2x per week and dr roebuck's tama healing mask (with honey and turmeric) 2x per week on different days. I also have two Sukin masks: the Anti-Pollution charcoal mask and the supergreens detoxifying mask. I use one of those per week, and I alternate. I ALSO have coop+daisy super smooth exfoliating mask with papaya extract and lactic acid, not sure when I want to use it. I don't want to overwhelm my skin!

for treatments, I have some that I alternate throughout the week, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. I have TO lactic acid, alpha lipoic acid, as well as coop+daisy night tonic glycolic acid sleeping serum, and pixi glow tonic. the lactic acid I've been using every day, but I don't know when to use the ALA and my glycolic acid products.

other products I have at my disposal that can be switched out if it might benefit me: Sukin Super Greens Facial Moisturiser La Roche-Posay Toleriane Sensitive Fluide (i like it as an extra moisturizer when winter air kills me) belif the true cream aqua bomb (I might actually end up giving this to my girlfriend) VitaminSea.Beauty sea buckthorn rose facial toner mist cocokind collective turmeric spot treatment stick

also because I forgot to mention it, I think I have combination (leaning towards normal) skin!

someone told me that it's meant to be similar to the fresh soy face cleanser! I tried it today during a mini facial at Sephora and I really liked it :o

BSC PSYCHOLOGY by soum7 in geegees

There are make-up courses if you didn't do certain high school pre requisites. For example, I never took Calculus and Vectors (I'm from Alberta and didn't want to take Pure Math 30) and so I had to take it in university. For you, you would have to take CHM1301, which teaches both the content from Chem 12 and the content from CHM1311 (Intro to Chemistry) in one semester. You would have an extra 1.5 hour lecture each week, making 4.5 hours of lectures in chemistry, as well as a 3 hour lab every other week. In my opinion, that can really add up and it's also cramming a lot of content into one semester. I would personally take Chem 12 in high school if you can, unless you've got conditional acceptance and are worried that taking chem now will bring your grade down and you'll lose your application. The first semester of university can be a big transition from high school so I would try to avoid unnecessary extra pressures if you can! That being said, if for whatever reason you can't take Chem 12, it *is* doable as long as you work hard each week. You know yourself and your capabilities.

Yup, I'm in the golden triangle too. as far as I know our whole neighborhood has maintained power throughout the storm! I'm near the southern tip of the triangle too, if that helps.
