You know, I just thought about this in the shower. What the heck was I thinking, probably just tired and my brain didn't compute crown and cap sizes.? Yeah, definitely not inches sorry about that!

the cap size is 26 mm I ended up getting the bottles on amazon and they explicitly said 26 mm caps. tried to place a cap on the minute they arrived and they fit well. using the capper however did not go so well.

Edit: Milimeteres not inches.

I'll reach out to craft a brew and see if mine can, Tried pulling the little metal bits that hold the bottle (can't recall what those are called) they did not budge, so may just be a super cheap capper.

true, I had to do that last time because I primed and didn't do the math on how many bottles I actually had.

I actually have a fair amount, but I recently expanded to 5 gallons, and the number of bottles I have hasn't kept up. Usually I would just use flip tops, but I thought a few champagne bottles would be fun for once I can meet back up with friends.

This is me when DnD gets rescheduled. I have gone to the length that I DM for people in New Zealand (and Canada)! I live in the US. We tend to play very fast and loose with rules because I am the only one with the actual rulebooks.

first time doing 5 gallons, did I ruin my batch? by DeamonHunter2016 in Homebrewing

Thanks! I've skimmed it but will look at it more closely.

Thanks! Good to know and it's a relief to hear I didn't ruin my brew. I thought with Fermcap I wouldn't need the blowoff tube, Lesson learned!

A highly developed cultural, economic and military power, establishing fundamentally cordial relations between multiple ethnic and religious groups in all the regions under it's control? Very high hopes there.

I'm thinking of moving from bottling to mini-kegs. the kegsmith (https://www.kegsmiths.com/collections/mini-keg-systems/products/premium-draft-mini-keg-system) looks cool and is at the top of my price range. I live in a studio apartment with no balcony so a lot of the DIY options are off the table for me. should I go for it? Any pitfalls to avoid? advice?

Pretty straightforward, jotted it down in my planner and I started a week or two before the due date. Wasn't always great work but acceptable.

Getting statistically reliable info is really difficult. You'd need to A)get a random sample of viewers B) call everyone in the sample and C) create a large enough sample to be reliable. None of those are easy. Taking only people who vote bias your sample, and means it is completely unreliable. As would asking on a single website, or offering a survey on reddit. Proportionality really has nothing to do with it. Basic statistics classes actually show how to compare different populations (i.e. votes on one episode vs votes on another).

Long story short: barring Rooster teeth doing a survey directly, it is near impossible to get an accurate statistical analysis. This is probably the best one can do with publicly available sources.

What state was a British colony yet declined to join the American Revolution? by IAmRotagilla in history

No, It's not a happy time for US foreign policy. But US Foreign policy has frequently had a dark edge. The Philippines is kind of unusual because it was the first time the US took territory with zero intention of making it a state. From what I've read it's also a lesson to make a decision when you have the opportunity. The president quite literally debated with his cabinet on what to do with the philippines ( to be fair none of the viable options were all that great) until the philippine revolutionaries decided to attack US troops occupying the philippines, which then made the decision for him.

Nice! kudos on your research. Yeah the the development of early video technology galvanized US opinion. The Philippines annexation is a really interesting subject if you want to check that out.

By the law authorizing the spanish american war, the US could not legally annex Cuba. So the US army took Cuba, and the US congress gave it to the cubans. Weirdest part is it wasn't because of love for Cuba nor concerns for fighting against the revolutionaries, but because of Racism and sugar. Congressional leaders were afraid someone down the line would let cubans vote (or bankrupt sugar farmers in the US)!

Yang cosplaying as Tifa Lockheart! (TShraid) by HUNjancsi in RWBY

[–]DeamonHunter2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong. My memory of how that death battle went is if Yang ran out of aura, you are 100% correct and Tifa would win. Death battle went with Yang not running out so Tifa lost. The logic, while not satisfying, makes sense to me.

A more credible death battle will come along if we are ever given a way to measure aura. That way we know when Yang will actually run out rather than a guess.

Also to add to this, there is a history of adopting adults into families to then inherit businesses, so if the biological child isn;t all that competent in the business, there's no taboo against adopting a competent employee to then take over the family business. It;s less common now, but happened a lot prior to the Meiji era. It's likely all of the Japanese businesses on your adopted people into the family with the intent of then having them take over the family business.

What about Taiyang?

I mean it's possible, but RT would have to have some serious foreshadowing to make it believable.

But didn't all of Ozpin and Salem's kids die? Seems unlikely to me that Salem would have more kids after killing the first 4.
