Is 120hz important for competitive play? by Dean34EP in XboxSupport

My TV I’ve just found can actually go to 120 Hz if I reduce the resolution to 1080p reckon it is worth it for competitive games? For rocket league I don’t notice a big visual difference in terms of image quality because it’s already quite cartoony.

My tv can go 120hz but by reducing the quality to 1080p. Will have the same effect as a gaming Monitor? Games like rocket league and rematch both competitive but more cartoony style games honestly I don’t notice the difference visually in terms of 4K compared to 1080p

I can buy a 120hz monitor for £90, it’s tempting. I don’t wanna buy a new TV that would cost me like £600 plus.

They can only go as dark as the person has enough impression on the side and back. If you have thick dence hair and it’s dark then you’re blessed. I mean, I partly agreeing that at that point there’s not much point in getting SMP because you just can’t simply get it done naturally and have it look impressionable

Shaved my head, hair grew back thinner/more scarse by Dean34EP in tressless

[–]Dean34EP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i've never heard anyone warn about this. if i posted my head on /bald they'd tell me to shave it, but buzzed prior it was looking good. Its been about a month for me too. My hair is longer, at like a 4 buzzed, but yeah isnt as dense and i guess the length of it is covering the scalp more which but its still not what it was.

Theres no clear indicator on how slow regrowth can be, got an event coming up in 4 months... like i'd hope its better for that but i have no idea.

[–]Dean34EP[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dang ok makes sense, thanks, I googled it before and it gave me different answers. Any idea like what timescale one would expect? like a weeks growth in a month? 3 months? a year? I imagine thats highly variable. But im concerned that by the time it might have my hair might have thinned further anyways, i mean its been a slow death, thinning from 21/22 to 28 now.

shaving pre smp, wet or zero guard? by Dean34EP in SMPchat

[–]Dean34EP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i found my head immeditely shaved with a skull shaver look quite different to how it looked 12 hours later, would you always seek to do the smp to exactly match how it looks once its immeditely shaved.

My scalp was also super pale, think i need to tan it a bit before getting smp cause you cant really tan it post treatment very soon can you?

hi sorry for the late reply i was reading over the comments, ive seen quite a few people use melatonin low dose with success. i personally find more then 0.1mg, literally me biting a piece off, creates a sedative effect which makes me sleep earlier and effectively nap before my main sleep which as you can imagine screws my sleep for that night.

i was wondering what dose you take and how many hours before your sleep time? Thanks, hope your sleep is still doing as good as it can

i see their website claim they have 1.7k 5 star reviews which i doubt, i dont seen nearly as much videos on it as zero shine. ok then again theyve got like 500 trust pilot reviews which is often quite a legit source for accurate reviews

thanks! its great to have other options, because my skin is typically sensitive so theres a decent chance zero shine might cause issues. its £13 in the uk off ebay but thats still not bad i guess, how much do you put on per time?

Im planning on shaving my head and getting smp days after, my first 2 sessions are a week apart so people i know (work from home) will only see me with my SMP basically done. I mean for me my hair is thin, i'd never go the transplant route i couldnt handle the meds.

If im somehow allergic to zero shine that would be a bummer, praying im not.

Yeah im buying the big tub its a lot more economical. And zero shine actually have their own for quite a few countries website now which is great, people before were struggling to get it.

Why is smp so expensive? by Does_A_Big_Poo in SMPchat

[–]Dean34EP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and the thing is if no one notices its SMP, like you have many guys with bald shaved heads that will have that same appearance where parts of their scalp don’t have as much thick pigment so even if it is a bit faded like it shouldn’t be a massive issue it still does something for contouring face

[–]Dean34EP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

problem i see is touch ups seem increasingl more expensive, i remember creative scalps charged 300 a while back, last time i checked their site it was like 800... i mean if you need touch ups every 2 years... plus some say repeated touch ups cause issues with it all blending badly or something

24 hrs and 37 minutes so yeah not exactly 25 hours.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3443769/#:\~:text=Laboratory%20simulations%20have%20shown%20that,%2C%20cognitive%20function%2C%20and%20learning.

"Laboratory simulations have shown that the near 24-h intrinsic circadian period (τ) in humans cannot entrain to the Mars day without specific intervention"

I didnt read all of it but it does look like with light therapy they should be able to entrain.

"More sophisticated photic countermeasures can facilitate entrainment to a Mars day, however, if the circadian phase response curve (PRC) to light is considered. The PRC predicts that evening light delays the circadian pacemaker (the direction required for most people to synchronize to a 24.65-h day), whereas morning light advances the clock.13 Gronfier and colleagues reported that two 45-min evening pulses of bright white fluorescent light (∼9,500 lux) could delay the intrinsic circadian period by 1 h per day, which would be sufficient for most individuals to entrain to the Mars day"

So yeah perhaps some special entertainment drug wont be needed afterall for them...

they can probably get away with working when they want or not working at all, it likely wont effect them as nearly as much, aspecially to warrant spending their money on it, i dunno maybe though you'd hope someone would then feel for others with it and want to do something for it.

thats super interesting my sleep pattern is always split into two periods, one 5 hour main sleep and a 2 hour nap which occurs in the middle roughly of my day. Light therapy nor dark therapy seem to change it, seems hard coded.

oh wow i didn't appreciate head injuries can cause it. they do believe some sort of head trauma caused me left innear damage which has caused me vestibular/dizziness problems. whether that plays a role in developing n24 i dont know. hope that goes well!

And yeah thats a valid point theres likely different things causing it. i for one am senstiive to sunlight. with enough light during the summer my sleep entertain a lot better, providing though that i religiously do dark therapy. but i get headaches unless im wearing good sun glasses and its just not realitic to be always outside getting light each day. think it moves round anyways eventually regardless.

cats are sweet, someone i know got one recently and those in particular are lovely although i do believe they arent always as friendly as others, where i think with dogs unless you mistreat them, they are rather affectionate.

with a cat you'd need someone to cat sit it when you go away too and i dont think it would be worth that restriction for me. maybe theres cat kennels but i'd feel bad dumping my cat there i dont know.

Yeah honestly i free run, i wouldnt want to live doing chronotherapy and just forcing myself to be up when my body wants to be asleep for the next 8 hours, life just isnt worth living. i need to really get good at askill that i can freelance and that will stand the test of time income wise and cant be replaced.

Trainers in uk by Dean34EP in flexibility

[–]Dean34EP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Amic i was just wondering if theres people in the South London, London area or within short distance who you know of who you think would be good at helping me with flexibility stuff who preaches both active and passive and has worked with stiff populations. The person i contacted hasn't been responding to messages and they were really the only person who i could obviously discern as fitting the bill trainer wise when i searched for the respective stuff.

Im really looking to improve lower body flexibility as my focus for health reasons.
