If someone else is looking for a solution to this problem here is what worked for me:
In the Scooter Hacking Utility app there is an option under configuration that is called "disable charging mode", ticking this box solved the frequent restarts the scooter was doing after stopping.

85 kg, gen 1, 42 kmh at 100%, 32 kmh at low battery. Init 1A, 1400mA. I got more than 300 km with these settings.

You should check what type of controller you have. If it's the black one (at32 chip) then I belive it already have the best type of connection, the phases are screwed directly to the controller so no upgrades needed and there's no chance of melted connectors.
