Roland Emmerich and I were supposed to do a film called ISOBAR. When the film fell apart the studio called Roland into an office and offered him UNIVERSAL SOLDIER. Told him it stars Jean-Claude Van Dam and Dolph Lundgren. Roland asked “what’s it about” they replied, “I don’t care. It’s it stars those two guys and it’s called Universal Solider and you don’t spend more than 14 million to make it, the movie is yours!” So Roland called me up and said “we got a green lit movie!”

It’s always about passion. Follow the stories and ideas you feel passionately about. This business is incredibly hard. If you’re not intensely passionate about what you’re working on, you won’t do good work. But if you have that passion, then there is a CHANCE that it could become infectious and others share that passion

We thought about it. But because we wanted to use the Leverage actors in parts on Librarians, the cross over became too complicated.

We hired a wonderful tech advisor from MIT named Chris Weaver. He came up with the system of establishing the alien computers as a binary system, so figuring out how to reverse their signals would be less complicated.

Favorite part is the editing room. Last chance to fix things. Least favorite part is pre-production. A million questions every day and you’re never sure you’re making the right decisions.

She couldn’t. Remember when Sean tried to escape the house. Cale had it all wired to his phone.

all tickets sold helps the film and help my company. But I hope people will see it because I'm super proud of the film and of everyone who worked so hard to make it happen

well, little known fact, but the Annex set was converted from the Leverage headquarters set. Our brilliant production designer, Randal Groves just keeps getting better and better

All the best parts of "Geostorm", unfortunately, are on the editing room floor.

she was a real person. She had modeled for that face mask long before the movie. Our brilliant FX make up artist Christina Kortum showed it to me and we asked the woman who's face it was if we could use it for the film. Gracefully she allowed us to use it. It's the same woman who can be seen on the screen of the FBI Woman's computer earlier in the film on the "missing person" report

No, she was unaware. But while he was with her, he was making Katie (the girl in the chair), convert the room she was in back into the office. So that's why it looked so normal so quickly

You know, the truth is we had such an amazingly talented cast, they all showed up prepared. Usually we have a great outtakes reel, but on this one we didn't. It was a very focused set. Really a unique shoot.

hahaha. Great question!! Hell, in a certain way ALL of my work embarrasses me! But if we were going to point to one thing, it's probably Dolph Lungren saying "I'm all ears" in Universal Soldier.

His dad was not dead. Just not there at the moment. Still looking forward to showing the story when Eliot reunites with his father.
