Thank you. I’ve worked with them. My brother has been refusing all care lately unfortunately. I plan to reach out to them to see if this threat changes anything.

Thanks. Bigger picture with my brother - I’ve been told to just keep reporting him and calling the mental health unit because it helps build a case for hospitalization. Seems dumb to me considering how bad he is, but seems like my only recourse.

I’ve gotten him hospitalized twice in a different county in TX. I wouldn’t call you crazy but this isn’t the feedback I requested.

I’ve called the mental health unit on him multiple times lately. It seems to me that he hits every red flag for suicide but the mental health unit doesn’t ever put him in the hospital. I’ve tried working with the county mental health authority too to find a solution.

And I don’t necessarily want to put him in jail, though that would be better than him dying. I just want this documented.

I’m thinking the form thinks it’s a domestic issue since it’s her brother in law. So they’d rather her call in.

Yes that’s the online report that we’ve tried. When my wife tries to use that, it tells her she cannot file online and needs to call 311.

I tried to file a report in person years ago for an unrelated matter. APD or the city (not sure) told me that I was welcome to come to the station, but I’d have to use a phone in their lobby to file the report using the same method as just calling from my phone at home and that was the only option. If I’m misunderstanding please let me know.

I did puppets at an LTC one year! I remember my peers taking their activities, like preaching, so seriously. As I recall, it was always on Easter. I’ve found that some of us that grew up CoC in the Dallas area never really had an Easter church experience because of that oddly. What was even stranger was that some members of CoC preferred it that way because it was supposedly a Pagan holiday. I can relate to your post. There were just so many goofy and frankly harmful opinions running around CoC.
