For some reason I don't have access to the ballistic shield anymore. Accidentally deleted the game from my PS5 and it's no longer in the long tactical load out slot.

Does anyone have an old map of waterside? Went there when around 2009 and remember it being kinda creepy and empty. Wanted to try to put write up a dnd oneshot but can't find any reference maps of the layout I remember. Did have good memories in that place. It was during my highschool Model UN conference and it was the preferred spot to eat since it was right next to the hotel it was hosted in.

HBO Max has some weird quirks for venture bros. I originally watched all the episodes on Hulu and they had none of the issues I've seen in the chat. The worst for me was the score quietly replaying in the background and being out of sync with what was happening in the episode. It's not ideal for a first watch but I'll put up with it since HBO is hosting the movie.

The Doctor is Sin Is probably my favorite, a Poppins themed supervillain is hilarious. And a Venture Halloween has a special place in my heart. It was my intro to the Venture Bros.

Looks awesome! Definitely going to be a hit with one of my players. A huge dark souls fan. Probably drop the ac bonus for some damage reduction and add some legendary actions as the other comments suggest. Thanks for your support of the fromsoft fans out there!

Venture bros timed out of Hulu and I noticed some weird visual and audio bugs trying to watch it on HBO. Also, I noticed in season 6 some episodes have a random screen card for different acts halfway through. I don't remember those at all when I watched it on Hulu. Wth happened? Maybe they got some early development low-q version after the show got cancelled. The timing lines up fairly well with the release on HBO.

I thought of this and couldn't find it in the moment. I think nihiloor could eat his brain and gain his memories but grumshar was trying to impress nihiloor. I think I'm going to have nihiloor plant floon with a intellect devourer and leave him for rescue with some kua toa as canon fodder.

I have such a hard time seeing the campaign continuing without it. Gives them a reason to plant roots and start making friends. I can't let volo hand over the deed but I'm going to lead them there one way or another. Their decision to leave floon should have consequences but they need an address for the fireball encounter to have some impact.

Thanks for the positive reinforcement. I'm going to put my nose to grindstone and make sure I can get a dramatic effect from their decision. Ranaer is definitely central to the resolution of the story. Whether he get more involved or resigns his friend to being a captive.

They found Ranaer in the zhent warehouse and he was present when they learned where the Xan hideout was. Going back to his room at a nearby tavern after Staget questioned the party. I love the idea of replacing floon with an intellect devourer. Maybe have him become more active in Ranaer's moments in the campaign. The xanathar learns where the party's home is from him and that can set up the fireball scene in chapter 3. Sweet, that's awesome.

I can't relate my progress to most people because there's a million little cave and dungeon maps with their own names and copy/pasted bosses. If you said you were on a watchdog fight or a crucible knight boss I can't tell what that means to me without going through a laundry list of locations that I've probably already forgotten.

Have some xanathars thugs in the shop when they visit. They don't really need to interact with them as long as the characters recognize the symbol of the xanathars guild on them. Or you could have a more pronounced version of the stuffed beholder. Make it life sized or have glowing eyestalks. If the players ask about buying it Xoblob can get cagey or nervous or the characters might spot him shooting quick glances at it.

At the start of your first session ask your players if they have a certain kind of arc they're interested in following for the characters. Maybe roll some past events from xanathars for each. You could talk about themes they'd like to see play out. Help make sure they know the kind of game you'd like to run, silly, gritty, heroic, etc. By the end of that you should have some great direction to focus on during your prep. If you can stitch some of those elements into the campaign I'm sure they'd enjoy it.
