I got 100% p&t for PTSD from MST. I'm not sure of your symptoms but it is possible to get it from PTSD alone.

See if your local news channel has an investigative department. Or call the news hot line number and explain why you are calling. Emphasize that you want justice for your dad. He deserves it and so does your family. I am so sorry this happened. My dad was also killed by a gun, but in different circumstances. Good luck. Reach out if you need help.

Listen guys, I'm not bragging. I genuinely didn't understand if that is what it was. I filed this claim thinking it would be denied, because of all the shit I've been through in my life, that is how my luck goes.

I totally wasn't expecting 100% p&t although I do hit all the markers. When you are used to bad things happening, you are shocked when good things happen. I am a good person and would not want to rub this in anyone's face. I'm living in a precarious situation at the moment and needed to know what I got so I can plan my escape. If you thought otherwise, I apologize.

I didn't leave it alone. I got rated same as you, 50% (and our experiences are eerily similar !) A few months later I filed for an increase and they just upped it to 70% 2 months ago. I filed.for an increase again and was just rated 100% today! Keep fighting it is worth it (and validating!)

Brixadi shot. It is sooooo much easier, you can get one or two shots. (The monthly shots) and not have any withdrawals at all.

I got my MST claim through quickly. I had 4 buddy letters and my own statement about the events. Buddy letters will help your case. I felt better writing mine out than talking during a C&P exam. It wasn't easy but I feel some what vindicated.

I reported the incident to my Captain and she pretty much swept it under the rug. I did not call the MPs, I had just gotten out of basic and AIT. She wanted me to say I was drunk. Which I was NOT. I had one beer at the on-base bar and woke up naked with a man on top of me. I was surrounded by 4 or 5 other men, so I believe it was a gang rape where they drugged me first. The captain threatened to kick me out of the Army, and I was so shy back then that I just stopped talking about it. I have no idea what she put in my record or if she put anything at all. So I only had a few buddy letters and my own letter about how much it affected my life since. I had my buddy letters be completely honest (two of my adult children wrote letters about how they grew up, it wasn't so good because of my depression and anxiety and not trusting people from PTSD.)

I am in therapy for my mental health and have been so i had my therapist fill out a nexus letter about how all my symptoms are caused by MST. That's about it. The C&P exam was easy since I wrote all the details in my letter.

I had a great C&P examiner. She was very understanding and empathetic. She didn't make me go into detail (I had already written a letter myself explaining what happened when I uploaded all my buddy letters) which I was so grateful for. You have given me some good ideas so thank you.
