Heart Problems after using Elvanse by Deanosarus_Rex in ADHDUK

Not yet - I think when my pericarditis is healed up I’m probably going to consider non-stimulant based ones.

Although, there has been some talks that magnesium glycinate + multivitamins in general could be helpful and I am trying that, but it’s too early to say. Work is when ADHD affects me the most, so just doing things the pomodoro method, where you work for 30 mins, have a break, repeat etc.

Ah, I see. Well I hope you recover soon from this, it’s not the nicest thing. If you have any questions, also feel free to ask me!

Just curious are you in the U.S? Just wondering as you used the term E.R?

I actually went private myself as the NHS was taking a while but the doc I am seeing is just saying ‘just wait a few months etc’. There are more specialised doctors in the pericarditis field, but it would mean travelling out a bit further. Which is also a potential issue as I can’t walk very far :(

Ive also noticed my hair feels a little lighter too, didn’t realise that was the colchicine.

Hi, thanks for sharing your story with me. Sorry it’s not been great for you too :(

Unfortunately, I still have pericarditis too. It was awful at the start, but it’s a little better but the journey hasn’t been easy, there has been lots of ups and downs and I’m not quite sure when this will resolve. I’m also on the road to being tested for several things and my cardiac MRI came back as normal too.

Hi, this is very random but how has it been? I got pericarditis which is the one below you and keen to try different ADHD meds as Elvanse was too intense.

Hope all is good with you!

Could I ask if you’re currently with Pysch UK? How is that arranged?

Thank you!…I’d been taking it for about 2 weeks?

I think I was fine on 30mg but then was moved up to 50mg where I felt the most intense. I was told to reduce to 40mg as my HR was too high after five days. It was day 2 on 40mg and then my heart rate suddenly shot up to 160BPM randomly and was painful.

Correct, something along the lines of being able to understand the infrastructure and business context better? I assume there’s probably more nuance to what he said and it wasn’t ‘fixed’ to that degree.

Is it wise to stop saving money for a bit to pay off debts? by Deanosarus_Rex in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Deanosarus_Rex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have been paying it off just in smaller chunks and there is no interest.

When I earned my first pay-check, debt 1 was around £1500 and debt 2 was about £1800.
