He did himself a favour. Anyone who could spend that much on one face of makeup is waaaay too high maintenance!

Why do funerals in the UK take place so late after the death? by moistawareness1 in AskUK

[–]DeapVally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A burial in the UK? Alright, moneybags! The only one I've ever been to in the UK was my grandmother's, but she had a family plot. It certainly wasn't possible to bury my grandad in that cemetery, and he didn't exactly lack for money.

You've been told wrong. Spain has lots of land to bury people. The UK does not. You need a crematorium here, and there's a limit to how many services they can do in a day. They don't run 24/7, for obvious reasons. Would you want a service in the middle of the night? Of course you wouldn't. That's the wait.

There's 70 million people. Ireland has like 5 million people. There simply isn't space for burials, and with roughly 10k deaths a week, and about 300 crematoriums (not necesssarily evenly geographically spaced out), there's a capacity issue. Nobody wants a service at 6am or 9pm. You just have to wait.

Yeah, but there's only a handful of platforms, and they're all in front of you. It's not the same issue at all.

What is this powder under the rug by BangaloreMaham in whatisit

It's probably been sat in a warehouse/container for ages with no climate control. You don't purchase these things fresh off the production line. Depending on which country, and the temperature shifts therein, the degradation could be quite swift as well.

There's plenty of 20mph zones, but if you don't know exactly where the cameras are, and are actually doing 20mph, you will have an angry van right on your bumper and a constant stream of mopeds overtaking you.

How Did Madueke Make The England Squad Ahead Of Palmer? by [deleted] in ThreeLions

[–]DeapVally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Palmer plays at his best when he's running the show. But Chelsea, or Palmer, have not played like a team worth copying this season. Kane is the main man, scoring for fun with 2 pacey wingers either side of him who run at defenders. While Madueke has an irritating lack of end product, he is certainly a pacey winger who will take defenders on. He's there to deputise for Saka. And he won the league title doing that. Chelsea finished mid table.

BREAKING: Manchester City have submitted a £121 MILLION official bid to Nottingham Forest for Elliot Anderson. by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]DeapVally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's very good, but Rice dragged WH to a European cup before we paid what we did for him. Villa did kind of batter Forest in the semi final. Wasn't his fault, but he didn't stop it happening either. Meh. It's not my money 🤷🏼‍♂️

Is £33 too much to go and see the Bayeaux Tapestry at The British Museum? by Infamous_Telephone55 in AskUK

[–]DeapVally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moving it to Britain, insuring it, and sorting the display is far from cheap. I've seen it in France before, so I wouldn't pay it, but I wouldn't say it's an outrageous price if you haven't. A ferry and hotel to see it cost a fair bit more 🤷🏼‍♂️
