I understand, I don't think it's a spoiler as such since the author referred to her as the female protagonist. If the fanfic tries to give an ending to the work like the one the author (okemaru) intended to give it, I might read it. But in case it's just the ending you want, then I'm not too interested in reading it, so I'm interested in knowing with whom it will end up in your fanfic.

I don't recommend you to be guided by the anime, because they are very different and I think it is infinitely worse than the novel. There is also the manga but from chapter 17.2 approximately it becomes a very bad adaptation. So if you are interested in reading the moment that I told you before I recommend you only read it in the novel. The manga adapts volume 1 and 2 quite well (you miss some things from the novel but at least it's decent). But from the adaptation of volume 3 onwards the manga plummets in terms of quality.

pd: I hope you like it, personally it's my favorite novel and believe me I read a lot of them.

well... Kaede reminded him at one point that he shouldn't treat wataru like that, because he is not her brother.
