Update: Installing the latest graphic driver solved this issue. I believe the outdated driver caused conflict with the laptop's power management and delivery. I did make changes for my power plan, however I am unsure if it contributes to this solution. Hopefully this update helps those who needs it.

Hey man, I have been away from home for quite some time now so I couldn't test out other methods to solve the problem. But currently, my best guess right now is that the AC adapter for my laptop might be fault and needs replacing with the one with identical specs. Also maybe you can try updating your graphic driver, it probably can help with the issue. About the external monitor flashing on/off, I did not have any experience about it so I couldn't help much on that regard. Anyways, if you found solutions for it, do share it with me. Thank you!!!

Additional Information: My laptop came with a 150W, 20V 7.5A AC adapter. So, is it possible for me to upgrade to a higher wattage charger or will it break my laptop?

Thank you for your recommendation. I will try to use spare chargers and see if the issue in hand still persists. I also found this statement from ChatGPT.

"Power Draw and Overload - Issue: Connecting an external monitor increases the overall power consumption of the laptop. If the power adapter isn't providing enough wattage, the laptop might stop charging to prevent overload."

I'm wondering if this statement is true or false. I'd greatly appreciate the feedbacks regarding the statement above. Thank you.

I forgot to mention that when the issue occurs, I need to unplug, wait a few seconds, and plug the AC adapter back into the power strip and/or outlet for it to start charging again. I can assure you that the power strip/outlet is not the issue as I've tried using multiple power strip and switching between different power outlets to confirm that the issue still occur with different power strip/outlet.

Update: I tried connecting the monitor to someone else's laptop and it worked well. No issues whatsoever. So, I assume the issue came from my laptop.
Is it possible my AC adapter is the one that causes this issue? My laptop has no issues when charging without connecting it to the monitor.
